I built an immersive FIFA World Cup 2026 web experience — interactive 3D globe, live scores, full bracket. Looking for honest feedback.

Hey all — I've been building a cinematic, "digital universe" take on the 2026 World Cup as a fan/learning project. It just went live and I'd love brutally honest feedback.

Link: https://wc26-universe.vercel.app

Laptop preferred.

What it does

  • Interactive 3D globe of all 48 nations (hover/click a country → full team profile: squad, kit colours, stats)
  • Live match data — scores, lineups, local kickoff times, auto-scroll to the current match
  • Groups with live standings and a mirrored knockout bracket that fills in teams as they qualify
  • Stadiums — all 16 venues with details + the fixtures played there
  • A cinematic intro + ambient soundtrack

Stack: Next.js 16 (App Router), React Three Fiber / Three.js, Framer Motion + GSAP, Prisma + Supabase (Postgres + realtime), live data from ESPN + football-data.org.

What I'd love feedback on

  1. First impression / does the experience "land"?
  2. Performance — especially the globe and the homepage on your device (and mobile)?
  3. Any bugs, broken layouts, or confusing bits?
  4. What would you add or cut?

Thanks for taking a look 🙏 — happy to answer anything about how it's built.
