Been building Selfletter for a while - just launched an waitlist for it.
Hey everyone — I’ve been building an iOS journaling app called Selfletter and we just opened the waitlist.
The premise is simple: each night you write a small letter to tomorrow. The next night, you read what last-night-you wrote — and write back. Most journaling apps are built around tracking and consistency, which turns reflection into a chore. Selfletter is shaped around the small, ordinary act of noticing your day and leaving a note for the person you’ll be tomorrow. The composer has two halves — Today (what you saw) and For tomorrow (what you want yourself to know) — and last night’s letter stays visible while you write tonight’s.
What’s in it:
• Two-panel composer (Today + For tomorrow)
• Last night’s letter always visible while writing
• Optional quiet evening reminder
• Face ID lock
• Sign in with Apple (iCloud sync, letters never touch our server) or email/password
• Premium adds: full archive, search, calendar with year heatmap, “year ago tonight” memories, cream paper themes, shareable year-in-review image
Privacy: no ads, no analytics, no third-party trackers. We never read what you write. With Apple sign-in your letters sync through your own iCloud and never hit our backend. With email sign-in your letters live in a private account only you can read or write to.
If “write the letter, open it tomorrow” sounds like the kind of journaling you’d actually keep up with, the waitlist is here: https://selfletterwaitlist.netlify.app/
Happy to answer anything in the comments.
