David Archuleta's book

I'm just reading David Archuleta's book.

I have reached the point where he's in kindergarten and he gets upset because there's another, louder kid in his class named David who hogs all the attention.

Thank God he never had to go through anything like that again.

"Hoynes gave a grand to my campaign. Russell, $1,500. Clarkson, two."

Outside of this throwaway line in "Opposition Research", this fourth candidate in the Democratic primary is never even mentioned. I, for one, find it hard to believe that Matt Santos could ever beat Kelly Clarkson, but if she's going around insulting state senators by giving them donations of $2, she probably alienated a lot of people.

Bear gets Sarah killed

I am not an observant person. I am not good at predicting what will happen in movies. But from the very second we see Bear in the car with Sarah, and Bear drops some awkward exposition to the tune of, "So, it's nice to be here with you in the place you always come and hang out!", I knew what was going to happen in the rest of the scene pretty much note-for-note.

Is this guy really so passive, selfish, and stupid that he can't even say, "Listen, Nikki is acting kind of batshit insane these past few weeks and might be just a little bit jealous of you right now, so perhaps if we're going to have a nice chat about your dream of going to tattoo school, we should have it somewhere where she won't think to look for us and murder you, such as 'a coffee shop on the other side of town where she would not think to look for us', or 'Canada'?"

Denise Richards in "The Shoes"

Just watching "The Shoes". So Russell Dalrymple is mad at George for looking at his daughter's cleavage, and Denise Richards is visibly into her twenties, and the guys' defense is, well, if thirty-something Elaine showed Russell Dalrymple her cleavage, he would look, as if that's the same.

Does this plot benefit in any way from Richards's character being fifteen? Like, I understand that mores have changed, but her being fifteen adds nothing. Russell could've just been pissed because it was his daughter.
