Underside of a pillion seat + mount

Hey all,

I am installing a Sahara seats pillion on my SM650. Since I am going from a touring seat to a driver & pillion, I am unclear how the hardware I have actually mounts. I’ve seen the blow-up from Hitchcock’s, but I’m having a hard time getting my head around it.

Can anyone share what the underside of a pillion looks like (with hardware), and the mounting system on the fender?

Many thanks

SM650 Pillion Seat Brackets

Greetings all,

I am converting my SM650 from a touring seat to two separate seats; a rider and pillion. The challenge that I am having is that I don’t have the hardware that attaches to the pillion or that hardware that goes on top of the fender to attach the pillion; the touring seat doesn’t have it the same way. Does anyone have a source, or what it looks like, for the hardware I need? Thanks

Angle of mini ape handlebars

Greetings all,

I have a Bykology 12” mini ape bars on the way and I am wondering for those of you that have them installed, what angle do you have then lean back? Although I understand it’s personal reference, I’m wondering what others prefer. Thanks

AeeDEA panniers

I currently have RE long haul panniers on my SM650 and I am considering the above panniers as a replacement. I have monitored this group to see what others have, but honestly, the only ones I don’t find visually appealing.

The AeeDEA panniers are lockable, removable, have lights in back and on the side, open from the top, and the paint can be customized to the color of your 650.

Does anyone have any experience with the AeeDEA panniers? Thanks in advance.

Fog lights too bright?

Greetings all,

I installed a set of Denali DL2 Light Pods and they are great. However, I failed to do any research about how bright fog lights can be here in California, and now I am paranoid that they are too much.

Thoughts?

XIFAXAN prices

Having issues and the doc thinks I have SIBO and suggested Xifaxan, which has been fine. After 3x per day for 15 days, I do feel a bit better. For those in the US, we know that the above dosage is crazy expensive, insurance paid $3100 USD. The doc suggested I do another 14 days of the same dosage, which, naturally, insurance won’t cover. I happen to have a trip to the Netherlands for work and I asked him for a written prescription, which he emailed me. I called the Dutch version of teledoc (50 euros) and told him my situation and he sent a QR code for a new prescription. I went and had it filled; they gave me enough for 3x/day for 18 days. The cost of the exact same drug in the Netherlands? 310
Euros=$358 USD. That is 88% cheaper than in the US. For those of you that need another round and insurance won’t pay for it, travel to Europe, take a few days vacation, get your Xifaxan, and fly back; which will still be cheaper than the US prices. US healthcare costs are insane.

Flat deck

Hey, it’s been a few decades since I’ve been on a board, and I am slowly dipping my toe back into the skater world. I’ve tested a few popsicle sticks, but I am disappointed with the concave that runs the length of the deck; it doesn’t feel right under by feet. Back in the day, I used a flat deck, I guess “old school” deck they would call it now. Does anyone have good recs on where to find a good one? I’m not into doing fancy tricks, my goal is to carve a bowl. Thanks in advance.
