Towing options?

Has there been any communication if there are any options for even light towing? I had seen in the flip book that it looked like there was an undershot that I couldn't see a tow hitch, but wasn't sure if there was any other information that was available.

What is preventing a phone tethered vr headset?

In light of current hardware prices being what they are, I've been thinking more and more about a hypothetical vr headset which doesn't require these ever more expensive components.

This hypothetical vr headset would have something like the apple R1 processor for handling camera feeds/sensors/display signal processing, and would use the smartphone for application processing/connectivity/power over a USB C connection.

What reasons are there that make this not feasible? Or if it is feasible, why has no one done it?

Bonelab should be the multiplayer boneworks universe game.

Brandon has said that the goal for stress level zero is to update all of their games to the new engine, and keep mod compatibly between them. This sounds great to me, but it would make me wonder why bonelab should even exist at that point. Just going to list a couple reasons why making it the multiplayer vibe works have would be smart.

  1. The story is minor, and pretty disconnected from boneworks. Honestly they should make it fully optional.

  2. Since stress level zero seem to prefer single player experiences, they would really benefit from having a game that is focused on multiplayer so they can make the single player story games that they seem to prefer. Since the games are all going to be updated together, they could even make assets/levels importable from their other games once you've purchased/downloaded them.

  3. Native multiplayer would be a huge addition for people that don't want to deal with code mods.

  4. Any future games they release would likely sell additional copies of bonelab as more people are exposed to the bone universe.

Mod.io rant

I know I'm alone in this, but I really don't like how bonelab downloads mods. I've never understood why so many vr games specifically used a modding platform that requires you to be in game to download mods (for the pcvr version of a game). I'm glad that mod.io exists for standalone players, but I really don't like standing around for like 10-30 minutes to update and download new mods before I can jump in. At the very least I wish you could boot the game in a normal desktop window with a button to sync mods with mod.io subscriptions. I would love if I could just use steam workshop, but I get there are problems with having more than one mod hub.

Should I swap away from Truenas?

I'm consolidating a couple of my servers right now, and it feels like a good time to swap if I decide that I have to. (Current version: 26.0.0-BETA.1)

The main reasons I'm considering swapping away from Truenas is:

  1. I have a quadro p600. I've used it for Jellyfin transcoding for a while now, but recent updates to Truenas seems to have dropped support for it. I'm not wanting a solution that requires me to reinstall drivers after every system update.
  2. I'm wanting to enable SMB-direct (RDMA) for a direct attach cable to another server. This has been a key component of the upgrade I'm doing right now. From what I've found online, truenas doesn't support this now, and doesn't plan to support this on the community version any time soon.

Otherwise I've loved my experience using truenas, but both of these problems have been pushing me to swap. Any ideas?
