I checked my INR at 10:00 this morning and it was a bit high (3.6). So I cooked some broccoli and ate that. Later had a PB&J sandwich. Tested later around 5:00 and got a reading of 4.0 - what the heck? Why would that happen? I had a beer with dinner last night. Did the alcohol from the beer (low level alcohol) take that long to affect my INR? Total confusion.
I’m having a hard time finding a clear answer thru online searches. I want to put an interlock ignition device in my car, just for personal safety. Not connected to DMV for reporting, just to keep me from driving impaired, should I relapse. I don’t really want to rent month to month, or go in regularly for calibrations - if there is such a thing. This is not court ordered (been there, done that). If I have to rent, is it cheaper than when court ordered? I’m in North Carolina.
I have a friend (really) who has AUD and needs to detox and go to rehab. Problem is, no insurance. If he applies as an individual (not thru healthcare.gov), gets a legit policy, does he have to wait a certain period of time before getting help? Am I asking the right group?
Has anyone used telehealth appointments with GoodRx to get a prescription for Adderall generic? How did that work out? I can’t afford to see my psychiatrist or a PCP anymore (no insurance) to get a prescription, so I thought I might try GoodRx.
