Word of advice for the new techs. If you don’t see techs 45 years old and up at a company don’t work there. If there are techs 50-60 years old definitely work there. A company that retains older technicians means they don’t abuse the techs. Trust me .

Kicked the apprentice off an overhaul. He spent all day listen to podcasts and talking about open borders. I asked him to sweep up after I have been doing it the past 3 days and he told me he’s not a slave. Liberal’s just do not make good chiller techs. Someone greased the poor kids door handles .

Looking to move had enough of working in NYC. What are the unions paying chiller techs with 15 years experience as a lead in Connecticut,Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. Looking to stay east coast. Is $70/hr on the check possible. I know it’s a pay cut.
