Nocturnist vs Rounder Salary Differential
I’ve been at my current position for almost 6 years as a nocturnist and since I’ve come on board the difference between days and nights has shrunk from 50% to 25%. I have tolerated this for maybe 2 years now but starting to think if it’s worth it to even work nights with such a narrow differential. I would only need to work 3-4 extra days to break even.
I suppose the question is if this is a normal differential and I should be content or if it’s worth it to discuss a salary increase. The group pays everyone equally across the board regardless of seniority too. There is only one other nocturnist who signed on 2 months ago and is a year out of residency.
Any feedback or thoughts appreciated.
