Given a diagnosis without an assessment?

Hi all,

I have been diagnosed with CPTSD since I was a teenager, I am now 24F. I had an appointment back in July and getting an appointment with my CMHT is v rare and difficult, I’ve only had max one a year, the rest are continuously cancelled and rearranged.

Anyway after my appointment I checked my nhs app and there was a diagnosis of EUPD on my letter to the gp. I have never had a formal assessment or conversation about this at all? I called up back then and asked about it and the clinician said it was added in 2024 but has no explanation or notes on it over the last 2 years. He said he would remove it but I had a call the other day and it still hasn’t been removed.

I raised a PALS complaint as to my understanding you can’t be diagnosed without an assessment or fulfilling a formal criteria. On my call the other day, the duty nurse said she’s seen this happen before and that it’s normal practice for clinicians to diagnose as they see fit and the patient doesn’t even need to know about it?

Has anyone else experienced this or knows more?
Thank you in advance :)

I feel like I’m doing something wrong!

Hi all!

I’ve been on my hair journey for quite a while now and it’s improved massively since I’ve started. I feel like it’s sort of stunted now and I’m not sure what else I should be doing besides getting a trim.

My routine is:

1) Shampoo : Bali curls nourishing shampoo
I used to use the Umberto Giannini shampoo but for the life of me I can’t find the name online (it was a sort of yellow tint bottle which you could see inside and it had dots in it - I remember it was for clarifying)

I recently bought the L’Oréal Elvive Full Restore 5 Shampoo and I’ve tried it once so far

2) Conditioner: Mielle Rosemary Conditioner

Detangle when hair is wet

3) Bali curls hydrating curl cream

4) Bali curls curl defining gel

Scrunch in then diffuse

What I’m struggling with:

- even curls, some seem dry and some seem so defined
- detangling my hair, I used to do it when it was dry but now I’m trying when it’s wet with conditioner in but I seem to lose more hair
- my hair type, the products I’m using seem okay but I’ve tried and tested a lot and I’m not sure what my porosity is - my hair is just frizzy** **normally
- the back of my head seems very flat/limp, I’ve tried mousses both instead of and with gel and it doesn’t make any difference

This picture was a few hours after washing and diffusing and I’ve been sleeping with a bonnet to protect it. Any help would be so appreciated!!

Also I haven’t dyed it recently and I’ve been trying to avoid any heat or colouring
