Denza B5 Deluxe vs Jetour G700 Comfort (both base varients)- need real owner input before I commit

Down to these two. Both new to UAE so there's almost no owner data, which is why I'm asking.

Usage: mostly Sharjah and Dubai, DIFC 1-2 times a week, occasional inter-emirate trips, and a Gulf road trip planned. Desert drives are a bonus. Only car. Selling a Mustang GT.

Denza B5 Deluxe, AED 186,900 — 570hp PHEV, 180mm clearance, rear diff lock, full ADAS, Devialet, fridge. 6yr/150k warranty.

Jetour G700 Comfort, AED 169,000 — 904hp PHEV, 230mm clearance, 900mm wading, tank turn, 800V charging, 100L tank. 8yr/300k warranty, 10yr engine, 3yr service. But no AEB, lane keeping, or adaptive cruise on this trim.

Cheaper, faster, more capable, better warranty — but zero active safety assists. That's the tradeoff I can't resolve.

Also saw T2 owners mention instability and cabin noise above 120. Anyone know if the G700 has the same issue?

Questions:

  1. Own either? Real fuel consumption, build quality, niggles?

  2. Does missing AEB and adaptive cruise actually bother you on long drives?

  3. Al-Futtaim vs Elite Group service and parts?

  4. Is 180mm clearance limiting in UAE outside serious dune work?

Looking for ownership experience, not spec comparisons.

Geely Starray GF+ vs Jetour T2 Luxury Plus - heart vs head situation

I know these two aren't a direct comparison. Different segments, different intent, different everything. But hear me out.

Been researching SUVs for a while now after deciding to sell my Mustang. Landed on these two as my shortlist and genuinely cannot make up my mind.

My usage:

I work in DIFC but only head in 1-2 times a week so the daily commute grind isn't a major factor. Most of my driving is around Sharjah and Dubai, occasional trips to other Emirates like RAK or AD, and I'm planning a Gulf road trip at some point, Oman, Saudi, maybe further. Desert drives are a bonus when the opportunity comes up. This will be my only car so it needs to handle everything comfortably.

Geely Starray GF+

Volvo CMA platform, AWD, 8-speed AT, AGMC dealer backing, 5 star Euro NCAP, solid warranty. The sensible choice on paper. Interior is legitimately premium for the price. No known issues so far.

Jetour T2 Luxury Plus

Boxy, aggressive design that turns heads everywhere. 15.6 inch screen, Sony 12-channel audio, proper XWD 4WD, 10 year warranty, 254hp. The fun choice.

My head says Starray, better platform, more established brand, stronger resale confidence, cleaner ownership experience. My heart says T2, the design gets me every time and the tech for the price is genuinely insane.

Early owner reports on the T2 mention screen failures, DCT overheating, and water leaks which is concerning. But that 10 year warranty exists for a reason I guess.

For context I daily drove a Mustang GT V8 for years so I'm not new to running a car that prioritises character over practicality. The difference now is I actually need something that makes more sense long term, especially with a Gulf road trip on the horizon where reliability matters.

Anyone here owned either? Real world UAE ownership experience especially welcome. Desert and long distance highway feedback on the T2 particularly appreciated.

Would also appreciate in understanding if it makes more sense to buy pre owned with less than 20k mileage or a new car from the dealer?

Thanks in advance!
