Pretty sure I found a magic secret spot ! 1 spot I visited 3 days in a row - for a few hours each day - everytime I clear beach more just pops up out of the waves and mud!! Fossils China Pudding Stones - Bones - Antique Glass and some VERY old rusty remnant of a gun—- idk what the purple glass and stopper are from - those were found on separate days
I’ve been selling on eBay for 6 years - small seller - in the last 10 days I have had 3 buyer return requests - which are all bogus - 1) made a mistake thinking she didn’t get package 2) return item stating item was not as listed ( it was w pics and verified 10k) ( eBay forced me to refund even with evidence person was not telling truth ) 3) today ! Trying to get a refund stating they didn’t receive item - but I only use eBay labels and tracking shows it was delivered -
My question - is this just some anomaly w me or are others experiencing an influx issues like this ? I’ve only had one return on eBay in 6 years and that was because item broke in transit - also I am very irritated at eBay policy of refunding buyers if they simply state your listing wasn’t correct with zero proof !!
So for some reason I decided the inside post by front door needed a little house … collected rocks at Belle Isle .. then some moss , then I saw a little disco ball and got me an idea ….. it’s not done yet - I’ve got a sword and record player coming … I’m going to make it epic Mutiny world haha… think these two might have a situation going on here in the D ;)
For 3 years I’ve been collecting tons of stuff from Detroit River banks - I didn’t know until recently my hobby has a name - MUDLARKING!! I’ve amassed a huge collection of antique bottles , slag glass , pottery , auto glass etc - I even filled my entire front flower bed with slag glass ! I go at least 1-2 x a week . Any other Mudlarkers out there ?!? Or am I the lone one in the D with this weirdo hobby ? :)

I’ve been pulling tons of antique bottles both whole and broken , ‘sea’ ie River glass , antique pottery , crocks and plates , auto glass , and GOBS of slag glass from the Detroit River for last 3 years . I’ve got lots of secret spots :) I’ve amassed a huge collection to eventually make jewelry from and I filled my entire front flower bed of my house with slag glass . My solitary hobby that I LOVE in all seasons . People think I’m a weirdo here - lol! Finding this group on Reddit I just found out my weirdo hobby has a name !!! Mudlarking !!! Thanks Reddit and fellow Mudlarkers !
