Selling 1000+ member Skool community (entrepreneur niche)

Priorities are changing and I’m going more all-in on my app + a website business, so I’m seeing if there’s any interest in acquiring a 1,000+ member entrepreneur community.

It has 300+ posts, an email list, organic traffic and a Pinterest account doing ~404k monthly views.

One obvious play would be grandfathering current members, putting a $49/mo price on new members, and at 100 paid members you’re at $4,900 MRR.

I think I accidentally turned an online community into a blog

I’ve built hundreds of pages worth of SEO content around a free online community

Now I’m weirdly hesitant to monetize it properly with ~1,000 members and 700+ emails.

I could paywall new members, take sponsored deals, push affiliates harder, or sell paid products. I literally just added a PDF as a paid item and even that felt wrong lol.

Part of me wants to keep building it. Part of me wants to sell the whole thing to someone less emotionally attached to keeping it free.

Push me to monetize this thing or tell me where you’d sell it.

I built a free community and now I can’t bring myself to paywall it

Spent about 2 years building a business ideas / side-hustle community mostly through SEO, content and affiliate links.

It’s at 990 members, 715 emails and 300+ posts, and people still join organically.

I could grandfather everyone already inside and start charging new members, but I really don’t want to turn into a community guru selling access 😅

So I’m kinda stuck between finally monetizing it properly or selling it to someone who already has a SaaS/course/product to plug into the audience.

What would you do?

What would you ask for a small online community like this?

I’ve got a 990-member business/side-hustle community I’ve been running.

715 member emails, 300+ posts/resources, organic Google/Skool traffic, and it was built mainly around SEO + affiliate marketing rather than subscriptions.

I’m thinking of selling it now.

A buyer could keep the current members free and either introduce paid membership or use it to feed an existing product/business. What's a reasonable price?

cheers

Thinking of selling a side project I’ve been building since 2024

It’s a 990-member Skool community around business ideas / side hustles.

Built mostly through SEO, content and affiliate marketing rather than paid memberships. 715 member emails, 300+ posts, and ~600 members joined in the last year.

I’ve moved onto other projects, so I’m considering selling it instead of letting it sit. Feels like it could make sense for someone with an existing SaaS, course or product.

What would you ask for something like this?
