Flying in and out of Palermo, for this length of visit is it better to stay on this side of the island or split time over on the East Coast? We will have a car, seems there is plenty to see on the North and West side. First visit.

Just pick 2
We are 3 adults arriving in Palermo on Oct 24 and departing Nov 7. If you can pick only two places to use as a base what would you pick? We will have a car and this is our first time in Sicily. Right now we have Palermo, Syracuse, and Castellemmare de Golfo Airbnb’s booked evenly. Can the beach be a focus that time of year or pick based on no beach? Looking to see the historical sites, eat and drink.
