Building sold for 7 million and will be torn down to be a multi mix complex with a restaurant, hotel and condos… public water access from Commercial is slowly going away.. how much construction and traffic can Commercial handle?

I was so sad to hear that Jimmy’s Hideaway closed as I really loved their food and staff! Does anyone know what might be replacing it?
(first pic from the 60s, 2nd pic last summer, last pic yesterday)
A few of my gay friends are going to ptown this weekend and I’m getting fomo. I’m thinking about joining them. We know that it’s lesbian weekend, but how is it for the gay boys? Are we welcome? lol and also, will there be other gays?
Newly out, single and solo.
I just found out about this weekend, and it sounds amazing! Like a great way to step into exploration and community. But, since It's almost the weekend, I am finding lodging to be a prohibitive cost. Does anybody have any leads on lodging on the budget?
here for the week and my friends and i are looking for more sapphic oriented night life !! curious if anyone has any recs :)
Did anyone see a dog get run over by a man in a white Mercedes this morning on Commercial Street? He proceeded to drive away after it happened but someone stepped in front of his car to stop him. I wasn’t able to stay to see what happened and was wondering if anyone knows if the dog made it.
Planning a first time trip to Provincetown, Massachusetts for me (M29) and my partner (M28). We’re both hispanic and love to travel and we’ve heard great things about ptown being a safe, and fun gay-haven.
The plan is to go some time in June and stay at the Crowne Pointe Inn with our small dog. Coming to gay Reddit for help with recommendations, advice on what to-do and not-to-do and must-see places!
Some friends have recommended the following places:
-aqua bar
-lobster pot
-the canteen
-race point beach
-commercial street area
Thanks in advance :)
Friends and I are coming for the weekend to celebrate a birthday. Assuming it doesn't rain, do you think boy beach will be worth going to/ active with beach goers and dune goers? I don't want to make the hike out there if it's not. For context I usually go later in the summer.
Reddit has been a bit negative lately! So let me share some positivity. I visit Ptown every year, even in the winter. I always find something to paint while I'm there! I've courted some galleries, but only after sharing in online groups like this have I seen real interaction with my Cape Cod paintings. So thank you for all the feedback and encouragement. Here's to 10 more years of painting the cape!
Last week after Tea Dance I made out with a guy upstairs and came on a bit to string and scared him off. I was a little tipsy and if he's on here I want to apologize. He was really good looking and my behavior wasn't cool. I'm sorry.
Starting a DRV thread for the 2026 season. Anyone know if and when they’ll be back?
I am trying to figure out if going to P-Town on Saturday 6/6 will be worth it from a “pride celebration” standpoint? I’m looking at all these online calendars but it doesn’t really look like there’s a ton of events? Just a few scattered ticketed events? Is that accurate?
I’m wanting to bring my daughter and her bestie (both genderqueer teens) on the ferry and was really hoping for some pride events like a parade or some such thing. I’m sure they’ll love going anyway but I was more so hoping for a real Pride-celebration feel to the day.
Thoughts/suggestions?
I'm not at all familiar with the East Coast, and only marginally familiar with New England (NH, VT, & ME specifically). What would you say is the West Coast version of Provincetown? I usually fly into Manchester, NH when I visit New England , but I am wondering if it's worthwhile to maybe fly into Boston one time and check out Cape Cod/Provincetown? When is the best time of year to go when it's more "quiet coastal town" and less touristy?
