Confessions II would be the perfect final album for her (and no, I am not wishing for that)

The album is totally a full circle moment digging deep into dance club culture which is the world she came from at the start of her career. With multiple callbacks to her early NYC days and the biographical aspects with songs about her family, Sean, etc. it almost feels like her saying goodbye by taking a look back at her life.

Now I am not wishing this to be her final album in any way but if it was to be that it would be a fantastic closer to an amazing career.

Liz’s rage towards Jo-Ellen

I don’t get it. The reaction seems so beyond what the situation called for. And yes, I know Liz can go off the rails sometimes (like with Kelsey) and she also was drinking but even at the follow-up one-on-one meeting she kept that intensity towards Jo-Ellen. I feel like we are missing something here. I wonder if Liz got wind of Jo-Ellen talking about her, maybe spreading rumors about her or her husband cheating? We didn’t see any of that on screen so it may have happened off-camera. And Liz may have avoided specifying why she was so mad because she didn’t want her dirty laundry brought on camera. But it just leaves viewers confused and makes Liz look like a raging maniac. I was loving Liz up until that car ride and disliking Jo-Ellen. Now it’s almost the opposite. I hope we get an explanation in the finale or at the reunion.

Husband just got citizenship certificate. Questions on how we proceed for my spousal sponsorship.

So my husband just got his Canadian citizenship certificate a few weeks ago through the C3 for ancestry citizenship. We are a gay U.S. citizen couple married for 10 years. Our plan is to now move to Canada once our house sells (might take another 6 months or so as the market has softened in our area). Since I am not a Canadian citizen I will need my husband to sponsor me to obtain Permanent Resident status. I have some questions on how we should proceed though.

I have seen the information about Outland vs Inland. It would appear to make sense for us to start the Outland process for me now since we aren’t in position to leave the U.S. yet. But reading the information on the Canadian government site, since my husband is not living in Canada it looks like we would have to prove that I would be moving to Canada once I get my permanent resident status. That is our plan but what exactly would we have to show to prove that? Also, will it be an issue that my husband is not living in Canada and trying to sponsor me? Our other major concern is that if we start the Outland process and while I am still in the waiting period to get PR if we try to cross the border that I may be turned away. Is this a possibility? We can’t be living separately so if I can’t go in then he won’t go either. We also don’t want to be caught in a limbo situation where our house has sold but they won’t let me into Canada until I get the PR.

So with the Inland process, it sounds like we could just wait until our house sells, get a rental apartment in Canada before the sale closes and then move up and then start the spousal sponsorship in Canada. I understand that I may have to travel separately as a visitor into Canada and not with all our belongings or I could be turned away. Once we start the process it appears I would not be allowed to leave Canada until I receive the PR. Timeline is around 2 years at this point. That is concerning because there could be unexpected family issues that come up that would require returning to the U.S. for a visit. Also, we are active international travelers and take a few trips per year. So that could put a temporary kibosh on our travels. We are willing to do that if it’s the best or only option.

It sounds Iike we could also do Outland though even after moving to Canada and that does allow travel out of Canada? Am I correct on that? Is that guaranteed though? Is there a limit on how long I could be away? Are there other barriers to doing the process that way.

Additionally there is the issue with my US tourist status only allowing me to stay 6 months. The process to get my PR could take 1-2 years. Am I correct in reading that I could get an extension on the tourist visa every 6 months while I am in the waiting process? Or do I need to get an Open Work Permit to do that? I do not currently work and am not planning to when moving. (My husband does now but will be retiring when we move and will have his US Social Security and savings, retirement accounts and other financial streams to sustain us. He has to look into all the complicated details on the financial end so I’m not looking to discuss that here just adding some contextual information).

Just wondering on the best way for us to proceed here and also if we should consult with some sort of expert around these immigration issues? Where would I find recommendations for that kind of support?

Any help here is appreciated.

Why did the documentary completely omit Locomotion, the single that started her music career???

Was there a song rights issue? It was just so odd to not even mention it.

Quick question about Nemesis Inferno

Does it have a separate queue area for front seat? If it does can it be accessed by Fast Track? Meaning, is there a merge point between Fast Track and regular line prior to reaching the front row queue?
