That’s what I just said to my fiancée. Why can’t it be this year?

Unfortunately, that then got me launched into a rant about how, as someone who’s only even been aware this team exists for two years, she doesn’t know what it’s like to see them be bad. To support them when David Desharnais is one of their best players. To go through not one but two rounds of Michel Therrien. She doesn’t know who Pierre Gauthier or Andre Savard is. She hasn’t been there for the Alzners, or the Semins. Louis Leblanc and Nikita Scherbak mean nothing to her! She’s blissfully unaware of what a Scott Gomez is!

She said I was starting to get a crazy look in my eye by the end.

And in case you’re wondering, we’re getting married in two weeks. And yes, I am trying to figure out a contingency plan if the Habs are playing a game in the finals on our wedding night.

Expat Montrealer living in White Plains here. Been watching this playoff run on my own, would be fun to head to a bar with other fans for a game or two without having to go all the way to the Canuck in the city.
