Bringing back that one finger steering on my '82 C3. Any advice before I wrap this up?

I’ve spent months chasing a loose, mushy steering feel on my Vette. Most of my original setup was held together by road grime and luck.

I just wrapped up replacing the worn out lines and the steering valve this afternoon, and it completely restored that factory tight precision. For those who have done this job, did you have to bleed the system multiple times to get all the air bubbles out, or is there a trick to getting it perfect on the first try?

Reminder, swap your plastic hydraulic tanks for steel before they crack.

Nothing ruins a 5:00 AM start like hitting the remote and watching your plastic reservoir crack in the cold morning air. I had 4 yards of gravel sitting dead in the bed last week because of a hairline fracture that finally gave out.

I finally upgraded to the 12V DC unit with the 12 quart steel tank from fab heavy parts. Since they ship directly from the USA, I had the pump in hand in just a few days. That 3200 PSI relief valve is absolute muscle for a full load, and honestly, the steel tank is the only way to go if you’re working in actual weather. The 15-foot remote is a nice touch too; I can stay well out of the splash zone while the power up/gravity down system handles the heavy lifting. If you're still running a plastic tank on a work truck, do yourself a favor and swap it before you're stuck with a dead load on a job site.

So I’ve been eyeing the Vernal core3 standing desk for a bit now, but it’s definitely on the pricier side and a little over what I originally wanted to spend. I’m a student so I’m basically glued to my computer for hours every day, and I know my posture is trash, but I'm struggling to pull the trigger. I can technically swing the extra cost if I stretch my budget but I’m paranoid about the stability at max height. I’ve got heavy textbooks and a dual-monitor setup. is this thing actually rock-solid when it’s raised at max height with dual monitors?
