Why is 1s so bad to discard?
It's literally overlapping tile acceptance, the most basic of all concepts

Is this just an ultra bad hand to begin with?
S rating and literally did nothing but deal in
Dealer double yakuman + ron
While I was playing some mahjong soul, I got a hand that looked like this. And I just realized this might be the best iishanten possible. 51 tiles is truly crazy. Not even a no pair kokushi musou iishanten has that wide of a wait. Obviously, there are some weird ones like having a four of a kind in your hand waiting on an isolated tanki tile once you call kan.
(Still can't believe I bricked for 6 turns afterwards)
