Retail Brand: Nail Reformation (none of them have names)
Celebritips - Mon Cheri
Sukoshi - unnamed

Because of y’all I know now that marshall’s & TJMaxx carry press ons. I don’t shop at either place often so I’ve never noticed before. But since I was out & about today I decided to pop in & see what I could find. I’m obsessed and I don’t know which set to wear first 😍

the sukoshi ones I found at a small mall shop separately.

First Spa Day Results & Questions about fabric care going forward (spicy soup is last 2 pics)

After lurking in this sub for the longest time, I finally did my first spa day! And let me say I’m so wildly excited by the results.

So I used option #1: 1/4 cup Tide with Ultra Oxi powder per gallon water. Soaked for 10-12hrs. Washed after with the highest heat. Did four extra rinse cycles. My first batch of clothes were all Black synthetic fabrics (workout clothes) some are just generally worn, some are actually worn to workout in. But they all constantly felt like they had a residue on them and had embarrassing lingering odors. The last images attached are the spicy soup that came from them. So gross 🤮 But now they smell so so so clean!!

I do have a few follow up questions about care going forward. Since I’ve been lurking so long I’ve acquired a few different detergent types and I’m wondering what you guys would keep, cut, combine, etc. Images 1 & 2 are all the laundry care products I currently have. I now know dryer sheets aren’t worth it so I’m cutting them in 1/2 and just finishing them since I have them (not pictured). But they also really only get used with towels. I still have some All free & clear and I’m not sure what else I can use it for cause I don’t wanna use it on my clothes. My current wash mix is the recommended dose of the kirkland liquid into the bottom on the drum on one side with a scoop of the Febu in the bottom on the opposite side. I use the arm & hammer on towels, rugs, blankets. But to the same mix as the kirkland. The Tide powder is brand new to me since I got it for spa day. But I also wouldn’t mind swapping over completely.

Secondly, what do I do about lint, and dust(?) I know I need to clean my lint trap out really well. But past that what else would you recommend? I feel like anytime I shake out a piece of clothing, even the ones I just spa day’d, there’s particles coming off and floating in the air. Or there’ll be like dog hair or straight up lint left on the clothes. It does partly come from a few pieces I have that shed heavily from the inside and they’re printed on the outside so I only wash them inside out. I try to keep them together but the colors don’t all align like that for a full load (some red, some grey, some black)

My last question, I have citric acid and I know it should go in my last rinse cycle but - how many rinse cycles should I do? I’ve attached a picture of my washer settings, it’s an older stacked top loader with an agitator. It runs through the cycle and I can go back and start from rinse as many times as I need but, what would be reasonable? I ran the washer with just citric acid to see if I had any buildup and other than some hairs and a few particles the water ran clear. I also live in an area with pretty hard water, I have the gH(?) strip test Kismai recommends I just haven’t done it to know the exact levels.

anyway, I’m super excited about the results of my first spa day! I’ve done like 4 other loads since and the results have been super consistent. If you’re still thinking about doing it take this as a sign it’s so so so worth it.

and thank you to all the experts who help keep this subreddit together and well informed 🫶
