Best place to take G test

Hi everyone, I am getting really anxious and losing sleep over my G test. I can’t afford to lose my license I work downtown Toronto minimum wage and I’ve spent so much money booking G tests, lessons and everyone. I’m so frustrated, I’ve failed my G twice in Newmarket. I have another test booked in Barrie but I’m nervous. I tried to drive around the area to practice. Does anyone have recommendations? I know it’s subjective, but I’ve heard mixed reviews from everywhere. Any tips or location recommendations would help thank you.

Also Barrie has a lot of bike lanes I’m not used to. Any rules on that?

Tips for passing G in Barrie

I have a G test booked in Barrie for October 23. I’ve had 2 bad experiences in Newmarket and this is my final shot before my license expires. Can anybody offer me any tips? Any niche tips to pass my G. I take the 400 and the 401 almost everyday for work, I work at SickKids DT. I also volunteer with the City of Barrie, but I don’t go there often enough to be familiar with the roads. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you. On the test I get nervous and struggle merging and adjusting my speed from the on ramp to the highway. Also if you’ve had any experience or stories from Barrie DriveTest let me know! Thank you

Failed G driving test

So I took my first attempt at my G test in Newmarket and failed. My license expires this year October 29th. I rebooked for October 22nd. This is more of a rant/advice I’m really upset and frustrated that I failed. It was for this reason… I had to merge left on the highway and I slowed down/braked to get into the lane, but I impeded traffic on the car behind me. I also did not look both ways whenever I went through an intersection when the light was green (which I’m so upset about because I practiced and knew this I just got nervous). But my instructor (Johnny) said I did everything else perfectly. I’m just really stressed and this is costing me a lot of money. I’m not a bad driver per se I get really anxious with the instructor and panic. And everything I know exits my head. I’m just really afraid I’ll fail my next g test on October 22nd and I’ll have to restart everything my worst fear because I need a license to take my grandparents to appointments.

Good girl, gone good

I wrote a poem about being the eldest daughter, the tragedy of wondering, “who could I have been had I been allowed to make mistakes”. The battle between perfection and just wanting to be human, and learn some things the hard way.

They dressed me first in alabaster lace,
A sacrament of silence stitched in white;
They taught my hands to fold, my lips to bite,
Then called restraint the measure of my grace.
I learned to wear a smile in sorrow's place,
To swallow every tempest out of sight;
The stars applauded virtue every night,
While winter made a kingdom of my face.
I was the daughter carved from chapel stone,
Too still to stumble, far too pure to flee;
A psalm engraved where living flesh had grown,
A relic none remembered used to be.
The favoured child may fall and still be found;
The earth forgives the sons their reckless spring.
But daughters crack without a single sound,
And every fracture bears a mother's ring.
I buried every cry beneath my tongue,
Until my ribs became a mausoleum.
The lullabies I never should have sung
Now echo through the halls that still consume.
I was not raised, instead I was preserved in glass,
Displayed where every fingerprint would show.
Applause became another kind of mass,
A hymn whose every verse commanded, "No."
How lonely is the saint who never sinned;
How cold the crown no trembling brow can bear.
The mountain praised the strength within my limbs
While quietly stealing all the living air.
If love is earned, then why am I still poor?
If goodness blooms, why do my gardens freeze?
I swept the blood from everyone else's floor
And knelt until my soul forgot its knees.
Some nights I dream of laying down the crown,
Of setting marble shoulders free to bend;
Not vanishing, but placing burdens down,
And letting borrowed expectations end.
Perhaps the tragedy was never this,
Not that I broke beneath a sacred weight,
But that they built a child to earn their bliss
And wondered why she learned to imitate
A statue, beautiful, beloved, numb;
Whose heartbeat sounded only like a prayer,
Until one day she asked what she'd become
And heard no answer waiting anywhere.
