Going away for more than 5 weeks

I am fairly new to gardening and would need to understand how to ensure I don't come back to dry garden as I am renting

I am cherishing the idea of being away for a few weeks as I have my neighbours building an extension to their house and it's loud noisy and lack of privacy.

What do you do to keep the garden in shape when going away for a long period?

Neighbours to rented property house works

Hi all,

I rent a property in a small village and neighbours knocked down their conservatory and now are extending their house - adding two rooms ground floor and one first floor(notified in April).

Now, I know I am renting, but the extended part of the neighbour' house have a window 30cm away from our house wall. I could open the said window when in my garden.

The wall which separates the properties had a small roof which added a nice finish to the wall - currently removed and in need to be rebuilt as soon as the neighbours works are completed(none told us anything).

Works started in May and they are still behind from what I can see.

I have an ok direct relationship with landlord and again a good nice relationship with neighbours.

Onto the concerns:

- Lack of privacy two months in is becoming an issue and window directly facing the garden is not promising to get any better

- Landlord hasn't said much about the situation

Now we haven't said anything about this, but is there anything that I can do? Eg. reduce rent amount for the time being (a month or two?) or ensure landlord add some measure to improve privacy as when we started our tenancy.

Thanks

Yurts in Italy?

Have anyone bought a yurt in Italy?

I am after buying one in September and place it in my parents field so that I can have a bit of privacy when I visit them.

Seeking advice re delicate situation

Hi

I am mum of an autistic 6yo who experienced another kid(from their class) touching their privates during a playdate to the point they had a minor rush(which triggered our questions and started the conversation on what happened).

My kid initially reported it in a playful way (we accepted their the tone but said it's not ok to do anything like that to them) but then said they were in discomfort when that happened and they were not happy about it. My kid said the other kid tried again to do it whilst at school during playtime. To any of this my kid did say anything on the spot, they only were able to elaborate at a later stage.

Now, I am regularly checking in with my kid without overloading then with questions and ensuring they know they did well at reporting it. They also don't think of the episode as traumatic, they don't have the urge to talk about it. They haven't changed their behaviour and we are reminding them they can talk to us at any point.

The kid is not diagnosed yet with autism but mum and dad are so the chances are high. We are on the NHS waiting list for that.

Now my questions are:

- generally what to do? I have never experienced anything like this in my life

- how to tell school? What should I expect from it?

- how can I ensure I create a stronger support system for my kid in school without having them overloaded with attention to the point they will feel worried when they weren't in the first place?

- How to report to the other family?

- last but not least how this episode can be part of an autism evaluation?
