Letter from health department

Hi everyone,

I recently received a letter from the county health department asking me to contact a specific person regarding a “confidential health matter.” The letter looks official, but it made me anxious because I have never received anything like this before.

The office is currently closed for the holiday, so I cannot call until the next business day. Has anyone received a similar letter from a local health department? What did it end up being about?

Thanks for any insight

Bought my dream bag ❤️

Hi everyone! I just wanted to share something a little silly.

I come from a pretty simple background, and for as long as I can remember, I dreamed of owning a certain luxury bag. I always told myself, “When my career improves, I’ll buy my dream bag.”

Years went by, and even as my career progressed, I never had the courage to actually do it. I always felt guilty spending that much money on myself.

Then my personal life kinda fell apart, and it made me realize that life is short and that it’s okay to enjoy something you’ve dreamed about for years.

So, I finally pulled the trigger and bought it! I’ve had it for a few weeks now, and honestly, I’ve never felt better. Every time I see it, it makes me smile. No regrets at all. 😊

I hope sharing this helps someone else feel a little less guilty about treating themselves, especially when it’s something they’ve worked hard for and dreamed about for years.

Rant: be kind to guests wearing masks

Hi everyone,

I just spent some amazing days in the parks. We were in a group of people who had special needs (including mobility issues), which Universal very easily accommodated. One member of our party has a immunological disorder, meaning that even the smallest infection can destroy their trip. To support them, we all wore masks. That’s all. We didn’t ask for any special accommodation for this person in particular or acted any differently with other guests. But, even so, two groups decided to mock us and pretend they were coughing in our faces.

I was disheartened. It is okay that you do not like masks but please remember that many people with many different life situations are visiting the parks. So, please just remember to be kind. That’s it (and thank you to all the team members who made our trip amazing).

When to go to Epic?

Hi everyone!

I’m trying to decide whether to visit Epic Universe this Saturday (tomorrow), Sunday or Monday. Crowd calendars (like Touring Plans) show similar crowd levels for all days, so I’m not sure which one would actually feel easier in the park.

I’m traveling with mobility issues, so walkway congestion and long queues can be challenging. I’m mostly trying to choose the day that might feel less packed or easier to move around, even if ride wait times are similar.

Any firsthand experiences would really help. Thank you!

Hey everyone!

Going to Sapphire Falls soon with family members, who have more serious food restrictions (they cannot eat junk food, for example). Last time I went to SF I loved Amatista and Strong Water, but I am looking for other places nearby which I can find salads and more home-style meals. Any suggestions?
