Tiktok Muted My Video For No Reason

Has this happened to anyone else on TikTok?

One of my videos randomly got muted for copyright even though the sound came directly from TikTok’s own sound library. It was the WWE “Rest in Peace” sound that already has hundreds of thousands of videos using it.

I didn’t upload the audio myself or use external audio at all. I literally just picked the sound from TikTok like normal.

What’s weird is I never even got an appeal option. The video just got muted out of nowhere and the only thing TikTok lets me do is replace the sound.

I already tried contacting support but haven’t gotten an actual answer yet.

Did anyone else have this happen before? Did the sound eventually come back or is the video basically cooked forever?

Long story short, me and my ex broke up almost a year ago now. For two months after the breakup, I chased her. Since then, I’ve gone no contact; however, there are times when she does things that confuse me.

She’ll check or like my stories periodically, view my TikToks, or favorite the videos. The most recent example was her reaching out to tell me how she had finally lost weight — a goal I had been supporting her through when we were in the relationship. I congratulated her, but it didn’t lead to any further conversation.

The closest we got to talking again was about five months into no contact, when she “accidentally” liked one of our old messages. That led to us talking again for a bit, ultimately scheduling a date. At first, she was enthusiastic and accepted. The day came, and she had to cancel due to an unforeseen game of hers. We rescheduled, and the second time she acted surprised, saying she didn’t realize it was that day.

The third time, we finally met. However, soon after, we both had to leave, and it ended in a long, tight hug. A couple of days after this, when I tried to schedule again, she canceled last minute.

I don’t understand her. Its almost as if she wants me to reach out and I almost did after a failed talking stage. But I also realized from the failed talking stage that if I had a girl which gave me the same feelings as my ex I would choose that girl.

This is more of a rant if anything but what would you do in my situation?
