From the title, I am new... I cared for my mil up until the low she stooped to today... I don't know if it was her conscience or she was just like "Screw it I am going to nuke my relationship with my family!" Come to find out, my in laws are going into bankruptcy... For context, I have borrowed money, but I have always paid it back through income tax... Recently, I did ask for grocery money because me and my husband were waiting on checks from our new jobs.
I get told by my mil that my sil and father in law are not happy with me. I talk to my husband about what is going on and he talks with his sister who is by the way not mad at me! Come to find out, her helping me and my husband was a small drop compared to what ever nonsense my mother in law is doing! We are thinking it is gambling debt because she has gambling addiction. She blew through all of my fil's 401k which he worked his ass off 40+ years for!!! My fil worked until he turned 80! They had enough to get by until this happened! She also has tax debt! Needless to say, mil is not getting a cent from me. I am sending the money I owed to my sil since she had to help them. Mil was taken off of the bank accounts!
This is yet another mother figure that has disappointed me! I went through hell with my mom considering she was with a man that emotionally abused me and limited my time with my dad. She admitted that before passing away... I did at one time get along with my ex-boyfriend's mom, but after the way she treated me and my daughter later I don't want anything to do with her! Now, my mil who I had thought the world of for close to 19 years! For her to throw me under the bus is a fucking betrayal! I am already sick with a cold so this really messed me up!
My husband doesn't want anything to do with her... He is pissed off at the way she treated my fil and how she treated me! This is the second time they went through bankruptcy. I needed to vent because omfg!!!
I had just started work at my new job after being unemployed for a month. I need gas to get back and forth to work as well as groceries. I will make $50 payments the next few weeks and whatever is left on the 5th of June.
