Got a turquoise GCC that I picked up from Delta and I’m not sure what to do since I’m getting two different forms of advice. The breeder who gave her to me told me to grab the bird and keep her cuddled in my chest and love her, yet everywhere I search up says to keep them in the cage for a few days. The breeders said not to do that otherwise they’ll see it as a safe spot but I feel like the bird sees mh hands as a bad thing since I’ve been struggling to hold her as what she wanted me to do. Please help me figure out what I should do, thank you.

Hi guys. I’m currently looking for any turquoise green cheek conure that needs a forever home, but I’ve just been struggling on finding reliable breeders for them. There is one I’ve been eyeing on but their $800 so that’s a little out of my budget and their not health tested or anything. I have never used Facebook more in my life than these past weeks looking for a turquoise GCC around the area. If you guys know (or are) any breeders who have these kind of conures please let me know! It’ll be a huge help, I just want to find one that’s been health tested or would answer questions about its diet and behavior.

This will be my first bird so forgive me for the long info lol. I will be moving to WV in August so I’m hoping to pick up the bird sometime around the 15th-23rd that month if that’s fine. If not, I can totally work something out. Thank you!

P.S. just for the heck of it, here is my store bird I’m absolutely obsessed with that’s $800 and not tested for anything. He’s a bit shy but dramatic and playful. My friend from high school helps me secretly let me hold them and try to get it used to me lol
