Hi
I volunteer at a couple of cat shelters. At the moment they have an abundance of black kittens & cats waiting to be adopted. My family have nearly always had black or black and white cats so I really can't understand why it is that the black cats get overlooked so often. Can anyone properly explain why this happens?
For context i took both and have been predicted a 9 in both. Here are my reasons for why geography is harder -
- You have to guess what the question is asking - you never know whether it’s asking about the case study you learnt or just your general knowledge. In history you can write basically anything even if it’s only linked loosely to the question and still get marks.
- There is no actual layout for the paper. In history you know exactly how many questions you’re gonna get as well as how many marks each one is worth. You also know the actual question (e.g. how is source x useful to historians or explain the significance of event y). In geography you genuinely have no idea what to expect.
- The timing is also worse for geography. In history the timing is bad but everyone knows that so you work on it and write quickly whereas with geography there is way more writing than people think so timing ends up being a huge issue and because you don’t realise you don’t write quickly enough which means you run out of time.
- There is also way more content in geography. History seems like the content heavy subject but you can sort of pick and choose what you write about but with geo you have to know so much.

school was definitely the problem. I'm so happy all the time even when I'm bored. I'm getting way more sleep (like still going to bed and getting up at the same time but some how getting hours more of sleep) and there is literally 0 stress in my life. the World Cup is so good (omg England v Mexico was genuinely the best game I've ever watched i'm so glad I stayed up) and I've seen my friends so many times. I'm so excited to start college as well and life is actually so good. how is everyone else's summer going?
i've met up with friends so many times and thrown away all my gcse stuff. revision became my normal so what is everyone doing on days with nothing planned

we have to learn so much content only for 75% of it to not be examined. like why should we have to learn this? not only do we not need it in real life but we also don't need it in the exam. like we learnt so many English lit quotes but only needed to write about 5, we learnt so much biology content only to find none of the difficult stuff was on the paper, we learn so much in history but only have questions on 4 events/things. its so messed up 😭
