Hi-

Im looking at a 2015 today with 165k miles, and having pre-purchase inspection done at a nearby dealership. Anything specific I should ask them to check? Thanks!

I need a car for a commute of about 200 miles a week. it’s a pretty easy commute, mostly 45-60mph with a few stops. My absolute limit is $7k. Below are some of my options:

• 2014 Ford C-Max Energi: 99k miles, $6300 at a Ford dealership. Carfax looks clean with one minor accident.
• 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid: 139k miles, $3300 from original owner. Maintained with records.
• 2011 Honda Insight EX: 115k miles, $5000 at a Kia dealer. One owner, no accidents.
• 2008 Toyota Prius: 130k miles, $5400 from second owner. Maintained with records.
• 2006 Honda Civic: 118k miles, $3900 from private seller. 5-spd manual. Unsure of records. (Waiting to hear back.)

Any advice? I’m a decent mechanic but know nothing about hybrids. However, the gas mileage is attractive to me.
