She is 100% part of the entire family! Ever since we adopted her in April. It’s been a slow process of gaining trust after someone declawed her, abandoned her at 5/6 years old.

She ended up on a kill list in a shelter and my husband and I adopted her and have been going at her pace to integrate her with our other 4 cats and getting her to trust us.

Now she’s out with all 4. Total trust.

She lets my husband and I pet her with less bites and…. She has let me pick her up and pet her.

Our 22 year old son she bonded to first

My son has been busy and tired from work so we had our first mother/son games in a while tonight. Our second win in zero build he picked me up and he was like “Get behind me mother I will avenge you!” the he went on to quote The Princess Bride “My name is ***** you knocked my mother, prepare to die!”

It was quite heroic.

He wanted to keep his crown after a back to back win so we played three games of blitz and won two 🤗.

I haven’t played blitz for a hot minute too!

Most of all I had fun.

He has to work tomorrow but the shop closes early so he will be home in time for our fireworks!

My friend and I’s games may look like “Oh I wish I had those lobbies!” If you wanna be that way. But we do our fair share of getting chased across the map by super sweaters.

Any portions that are trios that’s my son. He started to ask to play with my friend after we all did one of the power hours together.

She thinks he’s hilarious and he plays a little less stringent and campy when she is in the party.

(I’m not a huge camper type… we will strategically plan on a bush but we don’t spend the whole game in them… when it’s just me and him… he prefers to let the lobby thin itself while we camp buildings).

Today’s games were rough earlier in the day (my husband surmises it’s the heat so more kids are online since it’s summer). But tonight. My friend and I were on a tear and she got me laughing and it’s been a rough week (I was hospitalized briefly last week).

She’s the sister I always wished I had!

And Monday I mastered all my current sprites and have now mastered 48 of those suckers.

My friend and I play duos almost every day. I play better with her and she plays better with me. Our last game (not in these clips) was so awesome. I had like 11 kills. 2 of them was the last guy we went up against. I had killed them at the start.

My son and I still play but we play more creative maps now. He works a lot so his time is prioritized with his job as it should be and I’m so proud of him. He keeps it up and he might eventually get a promotion.

I always emote the one emote in these clips and finish with a GG. Cause sportsmanship means something to me.

I love to win. But. I enjoy having fun so much more and I’m so glad I found my friend. She is my ideal partner.

We are about to get a really bad storm so I’m offline.

I think that was the second time I killed that guy. Most of all. My friend and I have a ton of fun in our duo games.

I wasn’t able to really play much today. I had to go to the hospital today cause I had a small fall (I have a prior spinal injury). I don’t know how long I’m gonna be here.

But a few wins. Both with my very good friend and some when my 22 year old son hopped on with us. He likes my friend a lot.

Hopefully I’m in and out but… I haven’t had much medical luck the last few years.

I strung all these together yesterday. Popped em on my YouTube channel. I don’t have any viewers it’s mostly for me to go back and see what mistakes I’m making or what I did right in the final moments of a game.

One of the clips is from a very wholesome match where a duo gave us both their crowns and their gummy dream sprite at the start of the match and then at the end of the match it was us and them and they rode off into the storm. We both gave them a GG and a proper thank you via Fortnite messaging since they sent us both a friend invite. And their response was equally wholesome.

My friend and I were playing some late evening games when I just gave a random crown holding duo a hug in the lobby. I’m about those good vibes.

We land. Still searching for that elusive zero point sprite in the wild. When someone lands on me. For me her skin rendered as default but she was summertime Aphrodite. She bounces and swings her pickaxe. Drops her crown and her gummy dream sprite… I do the hug emote as you can see and was still like what just happened.

I run over to my friend like OMG you won’t believe what just happened.

Then her (I’m using skin gender here. I know some dudes like to run with the lady skins) duo comes over and drops their crown for my friend. We part ways.

My friend and I discuss. What do we do if we run into them in the final circle cause I don’t want to kill them for their generosity. But what are the odds that will happen.

It happened. And they bounced, swung their pickaxe emoted good game and rode off into the storm. I mean. The good vibes made my day.

I took pictures of all of our cats with my new camera. Yes camera. Not cell phone. My husband got me a canon rebel as a gift.

She is gorgeous. Especially her eyes. She is doing so well even allowing chin scritches and is being more affectionate by the day. Our 22 year old has helped that a lot since she seems to like him best.

My friend and I have been running as Catrin Glitch for a while now. But my son wanted to play with her tonight since she is rarely on at night and not only did we have an absolute blast. But we sure stacked some wins.

My friend thinks I’m an absolute menace with the fire sprite. My son also got his first two found in the wild galaxy sprites today!!

He also got his first crowned win tonight!!!!!

My husband took it easy and listened to music. He isn’t a gamer like this me…. Always a blast when bonding while also laughing with my son.

I’m also helping my friend gain game confidence and have turned my son into a sweaty beast.

But I love fun, fast moving, thrilling and somewhat challenging games!

My friend and I might as well have been butter cause we were on a roll yesterday. I played one more game before my son got online to play with me last night and won again.

He didn’t want to lose his crown so he just wanted to play blitz. He had to go into work at 7:30 this morning.

I love the new season. The map is beautiful. My friend and I have a couple spots we will land at to loot up. (I signed an NDA so I can’t tell ya) but we almost always end up with a pair of boots at one spot.

Most of these are from zero build. The blitz win I went AFK to ask my friend if she was gonna be online for a few to see if she wanted to join cause my son asked. He had a lot of fun playing with her and I on Saturday.

We were silly most of the rounds. But the last game I think we had accumulated 18 total kills between us.

I was playing savage today. Got myself up to 11 crown wins now. Woot woot!

I love that my son was okay having someone else join our games. But my friend and I are the same kind of silly. It was a blast! And he got a peanut sprite leveled up to 5 in just one and a quarter games. Cause he picked up a level 4 at the end of one of our matches.

I usually just run duos. During the day with my friend and at night with my son. But my son wanted to join us for the first golden hour and we all had a blast together.

These are just from today’s games. Most of the time we are just laughing and carrying on and a win sneaks up on us.

I play more for fun than I do anything else. Though the sprites are fun. My fav is the fire sprite (accidentally lit my friend on fire).

My duo and I make a great team. I didn’t tell her I had won a crown last night because she would have been anxious. I even forgot I had a crown up to the end.

Now to win a game with my son and it’ll be a banner season (I ended last season with 59 crowned wins. I just play either solo or duos with either my son or my sister from another family —it’s rare to find your duo match but we are always on the same wavelength so glad I started playing with her a couple months ago—she even plays during the day like me. It was serendipitous my meeting her here).

I think she is happy here. She knows she has found her furever home.

She was on the kill list. She is about 6 years old and someone declawed her and then dumped her on a country road.

So I wonder who has the heart to roast Miss Lady Bell.

We have achieved what equals cat harmony. She doesn’t like the big boys to run up on her (that would be Butters and Gus). I have seen her and Holly playing chaise. And her favorite toy is a kick toy shaped like a snake.

She is getting closer to the other cats. (Though I feel judged with her and our dilute tortie Holly in the one picture. I asked my friend did she think I was in danger as a joke).

She still bites at us. Not our son. She will cuddle with him. But. We remain patient with her. She’s an elder cat and her life has been so hard.

I was so surprised to see her sleeping next to Butters and even trying to play with him. But he does overwhelm her. He is a big boy.

I can also see her judging my smergle happy black cat Gus. (He also is intimidated her as he is a very muscular cat—we call him our house panther).
