Lady Bell ( and friends).
We have achieved what equals cat harmony. She doesn’t like the big boys to run up on her (that would be Butters and Gus). I have seen her and Holly playing chaise. And her favorite toy is a kick toy shaped like a snake.

She is getting closer to the other cats. (Though I feel judged with her and our dilute tortie Holly in the one picture. I asked my friend did she think I was in danger as a joke).
She still bites at us. Not our son. She will cuddle with him. But. We remain patient with her. She’s an elder cat and her life has been so hard.
I was so surprised to see her sleeping next to Butters and even trying to play with him. But he does overwhelm her. He is a big boy.
I can also see her judging my smergle happy black cat Gus. (He also is intimidated her as he is a very muscular cat—we call him our house panther).
She did not have catnip. We have never seen her do this and my husband always puts his day clothes there.
But he did do a small burn so maybe it was the smoke smell 🤷🏼♀️.
I had uploaded the wrong clip a bit ago. It’s late.
But Lady Bell is still doing great. She gets a bit bitey with my husband and I. But she adores our 22 year old son. We think she has been through a considerable amount of trauma. Both from being declawed and dumped outside without defenses and whatever else happened after.
She is starting to play with our dilute tortie regularly. And is growling and hissing less at the other 3.
I will apologize for some of the language. We often use … colorful metaphors.
She can still be bitey but every day she surprises us as she gets more comfortable around our other cats.
She doesn’t like her tail touched at all. But she likes nice neck scritches. She let my husband rub her belly a little.
In the first picture she is there above our oldest cat (I mean she is older than him but in arrival). Tweek is now 4 years old and I’d put Lady Bell is between 6-8 years old.
The second picture is her sharing sleep space with our biggest boy Butters. (Butters is 3 years old).
Then I walked past my son’s room and I see her laying on the bed with our void another day… that is Gus there (also 3 and he can get aggressive if he doesn’t get decent play in … he is all muscle).
And the very last picture is her and Holly (about 2 years) supervising my husband putting together an herb planter box for me.
She is doing very well. She really is. And we are honored to be able to give this lovely calico the chance she deserves.
Thank you all for your support of Lady Bell’s journey in acclimation to our home.
She still doesn’t like our black cat and the big orange one sometimes gives her anxiety. But she is meshing well!!!
She went from unwanted to being cherished!
Thank you all for your interest and love for Miss Lady Bell.
I had both of them next to me and no hissing or growling.
She still does not like our void or our orange. But they are big boys and I think they scare her…
Being declawed and we can def tell she’s been through it… she has a lot of anxiety we are working on.
I’ve been saying “Gus” and “Gustofer J Cat!” A lot this morning. (He doesn’t actually have a proper name but you are supposed to say your kid’s full name when they are being ornery. And my only kid is an adult so … that is it).
The last two mornings he has been like this with my slow wake up game.
The first picture. She wanted Taco Bell. She isn’t as polite with people food as the other cats.
The third picture is her inspecting my birthday presents.
And the last one is a standing cat plushie that my husband also got me for my birthday that looks a lot like her to the point where I thought she was up there
She doesn’t really care very much for the other cats and she is still bitey and a little hard of hearing. But she is also very sweet.
She sat on my chest while I played Fortnite with an online friend earlier. It was too sweet.
