Hi everyone, I own a 2019 SE and have a check engine light. Ran for codes and it says it’s likely an emission or wiring error.
I’m new to Dallas and wanted to see if anyone has a mechanic they recommend that I can take the car to! For reference I live in Uptown.

I live in Uptown in Dallas and my 2019 VW Jetta currently has a check engine light and says it’s either a wiring issue or emissions problem. Any recommendations for mechanic shops around that work on Volkswagens/European car brands that can check my car for me? Would prefer to not take it to a dealership.

My roommate and I will be moving at the end of the month and I get first pick of the bedrooms since I coordinated the tours, took care of the application, and paid all the upfront fees. I need to let her know what room I want so she can plan what furniture to bring.
Bedroom 1:
- double sink
- bigger by about a half foot both directions
- bathroom has the guest access door, so whoever ends up here will have to let people use their bathroom if we end up throwing a party
Bedroom 2:
- balcony access
- the smaller bedroom
- completely closed off from living area
Considerations:
- I will have a queen bed, two oversized nightstands, a 9x12 rug, and a dresser at minimum in my room
- I’m not sure if having the guest access door would really be that inconvenient, but I haven’t had that before in an apartment
In the 15 minutes in between putting my kindle down on my coffee table and taking a shower, my dog stole my kindle and destroyed her :(
I am devastated. She’s never done this before or had any interest in it prior to this.
That being said, are there any toxins I should be worried about her eating? Do I need to take her to the vet ASAP?
Additionally, should I get the paper white or just the base model? I didn’t realize how expensive they’ve gotten since I bought mine over 4 years ago.
