Is there a way to link a transition to an audio effect in Premiere Pro?

When I add a transition (e.g. a slide/push) I always end up manually dragging a whoosh SFX on the audio track and nudging it until it lines up perfectly. It works but it's tedious, especially when you have a lot of cuts.

Is there a faster workflow to "pair" a sound effect to a transition so they snap together automatically, or at least a way to speed up the process?

Insta360 Mic Pro – Receiver keeps losing paired transmitters & phone usage question

Hi everyone,

I've recently started using the Insta360 Mic Pro and have a couple of questions:

  • I've noticed that the receiver sometimes seems to "forget" the paired transmitters. Even though they're still listed as paired, after turning them on they aren't detected. I don't see the audio level bars responding when I speak, so I have to pair them again before they work. Is this a known issue, or am I missing something?
  • Is it possible to use a transmitter directly with a smartphone without connecting the receiver? Having to plug the receiver into the phone via USB is a bit inconvenient, especially when the phone is already mounted on a tripod and you have to find somewhere to place the receiver as well.

Has anyone experienced either of these issues or found a workaround?

Premiere Pro 2026 - How to create a rounded rectangle mask for a video clip?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to create a simple mask in Premiere Pro 2026: basically a rectangle with rounded corners.

Using the Object Mask feature, I can create the mask, but I can’t round the corners. The feathering option doesn’t really help, as it only blurs the edges instead of creating a proper rounded rectangle shape.

I’m looking for a quick and simple solution, if there is one.

I also can’t figure out how the “Mask with Shape” option works. Starting from a rectangle shape, I expected to be able to use it as a mask for a video clip, but:

  • it doesn’t appear as an available/unassigned mask for the clip;
  • I can’t assign it inside the video’s Opacity settings.

Am I missing something, or is this feature only meant for graphic elements and not for video clips?

Thanks!

Best cheap model for content writing, realistic image generation & vibe coding?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to figure out the most cost-effective setup for a few different use cases and I’d love some real-world feedback from people who’ve tested multiple models recently.

I mainly need:

  • Editorial content creation (blog posts, articles, SEO content, etc.)
  • Image generation with realistic / believable results (not overly stylized or “AI-looking”)
  • “Vibe coding” (quick prototyping, small scripts, frontend experiments, assisted coding workflow)

The goal is to keep costs low while still getting solid quality across all three areas. I don’t necessarily need the absolute best model in each category, but something that strikes a good balance or maybe a combination of tools/models that works well together.

Right now I’m evaluating a few options:

  • OpenCode
  • ChatGPT Go
  • OpenAI API

My main concern with the API is cost control - I’m a bit afraid it could easily spiral compared to a fixed subscription, especially because in the early phase I’d be doing a lot of development, testing, iteration, and probably a fair amount of “wasted” calls while I refine the app logic.

So I’m curious:

  • What model(s) are you currently using for these tasks?
  • Is there one “budget-friendly all-rounder” that actually holds up?
  • Or is it better to split tasks across different cheaper/specialized models?
  • Any underrated APIs or setups worth looking into?
  • And for those who used the API: how do you actually keep costs under control during development phases?

Appreciate any insights or real usage experiences 👍

Shimano Tourney 3x7 + microSHIFT controls - worth upgrading controls?

Hi everyone,

I’ve got a city bike with a Shimano Tourney 3x7 drivetrain and microSHIFT MS12-7 shifters. I’m fairly new to cycling, so I’m still learning how everything should feel in normal use.

I’m considering swapping the shifters, mainly because I’m confused by how the front indexing behaves:

  • When I’m on the largest front chainring, the indicator doesn’t clearly sit on “3” - it’s more like between 2 and 3. This makes it confusing when I try to shift back to the middle chainring, because I’m never sure which click actually corresponds to the correct position.
  • I’m also unsure about the usefulness of trim on the front derailleur. In theory it should help fine-tune alignment, but in practice it just makes the shifting feel more complicated to me. Would a simpler shifter setup (without trim) make more sense, or is this just beginner confusion?

So my question is:
Would you stick with these microSHIFT shifters, or upgrade to something else? If yes, what would be a sensible replacement?

Thanks!

How to restore a single scrollbar in the WordPress editor? (ACF meta boxes split view)

Hi, I’m using the latest versions of WordPress and ACF, but after the latest WordPress update the vertical split in the article editor page came back.

Basically, the lower meta box section containing the ACF fields now has its own vertical scrollbar, so the whole editor feels split into two separate areas.

I’d like to restore the original behavior with a single vertical scrollbar for the entire page.

I’ve already tried several code snippets, but I haven’t been able to fix it.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Thank you
