Hey, my name is Rohit and I’m an avid film watcher and am pursuing filmmaking for higher studies, and I YEARN to meet more people who like watching films like me— so here’s a proposal for a cinema society,

Periodic movie activities—

• we assign a movie every week, people can watch it at home or anywhere according to their comfort and at the end of the week we conduct discussions about the movie and rate it. At the same time, we poll on what movies we should watch next.

• screenings, through places with private screens like binge town we can hold public screenings of movies, everybody pays a set amount for the screening, which might include snacks, posters etc

So I’m interested in doing my major in media or film and am currently a rising senior. I found out about the vogue college’s online pre college course in fashion media essentials. I am an Indian student so I can only do online courses. The course’s topics and assignments are very appealing to me but the fee of 995 usd is going to be quite difficult for me and my family to take up. So I wanted to know if it would be helpful for not only my current skills but also for when I apply for colleges later this year. Thank you.

OKAY I KNOW THE OBVIOUS PROBLEM OF GROOMERS CREEPS AND WEIRDOS CHIMING INTO THE SUB BUT WITH GOOD MODERATION IT COULD DEF BE FUN. Teens aren’t like the usual people on this subreddit. People here make plans like meet ups and stuff whereas teens usually prefer just texting and maintaining an online connection instead of an offline one (and also it’s very hard to find another person your age here.)

SOOOOOOO I think making a subreddit only for teens of Vizag (WITH STRICT MODERATION AND VERY CLEAR WARNINGS FOR EVERYONE ON THERE) could DEFINITELY be a very fun experience where we could share memes, spill tea about our schools or colleges, recommend places for hang outs and also just meet cool people!!! I’ll only go ahead with making it if I get atleast some traction on this post. So maybe share it off platform to your friends too to see if they’re interested?
