Something is under my tomato net and chowing down on my plant
This was actually sold as a Sweet 150 cherry tomato but it is not. At any rate it was healthy when we put the net on to keep away the birds but since then, something is eating away at it and not visable when I look for what’s doing it. Possibly a hornworm that I can’t see or maybe the pest is a very small one? I’m not an experienced tomato grower.
This was supposed to be a Sweet 150 tomato but it is not! Any idea on what this one is?
The tag at Home Depot claimed it was a Sweet 150 but damn, after about 3 weeks of growth, these are not cherry tomatoes. I’m not sad but actually happy at how healthy it is. Would like to know if fellow Redditors can ID just what variety these are. It is producing some nice, good-sized fruit! 🍅
Honestly, this thing has haunted me for years… 🤔
This pic was posted on a car enthusiast bulletin board maybe 15 years ago or more and I’ve always wondered what it could be. Many guys have offered ideas but no one really came up with anything believable.
Reddit, do your thing. 🤞
