Recent pickups, J1 ‘airness’ & J4 ‘dark mocha’ . Currently hunting down (most) of the AMM Jordans. (Side note to rant about how painfully slow eBay shipping is 🫩)

Love the look of these new Flint 13s but dang the cheap materials on the tongue make them squeak like crazy. I’ve tried a usual technique of rubbing some leather conditioner on the tongue where it causes friction with the interior. (I have these tied tight more than normal to try and break them in) Even tried some mink oil spray on the friction surfaces and it works for a couple minutes but walking around the house the squeak comes back 😵‍💫

Anyone doing this BS? 🤣

Is it ok that Hurricane played while on shuffle (I was mopping the house) and I got so pumped and heavy emotional listening to it? Also, the way I listen to Thrice is like “appointment listening” so it’s almost a special occasion of sorts to fully enjoy them. Of course when I do play my library on shuffle it’s always a treat to hear a Thrice song. Does anyone else listen to them as such?

2016 (L) 2026 (R) true blue J3s. Some obvious outside looks from the releases show the difference in build, 2026 release materials feel much lighter on foot and that thinner collar padding makes for a more “lightweight” fit. I’m stoked for the recent pair.

Got these via Kickwho.cc “Godkiller” Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 retro SP ‘varsity red’ friends & family. Amazing quality, compared w/ my other pairs via GOAT & StockX and the fit & feel are very similar.

When these first released I made fun of them for being a Military Blue ripoff, I completely admit I was wrong about that. Got a pair of Pines a month ago and had to go for this pair as well. Very comfortable on foot for a J4.

Last couple years seen these and appreciated them but didn’t think they were attainable for a decent price and because of the hype over them. Recently saw one of my favorite chefs Christian Petroni rocking a pair and looked them up used on GOAT. Decent price and in excellent shape. Stoked to ad them to my collection of J4s, and really do understand why they have been coveted for the materials and build.

Scored some SBB J1s “used” but they might have been worn only once. Another useless fact, my favorite thing was a backboard shattering when I was young and watching sports bloopers on VHS
