Need help with Sennheiser HD 400s

Hello! I've bought the sennheiser HD 400s and I've been using it for around 4 months now.

However what bothers me is that the audio sounds bright and lacking detail and background stuff when listening to intense music.

Before I bought this pair I had the sennheiser HD 206 I could hear alot of stuff in intense tracks very well with them and I absolutely loved how they sounded. Until they broke.

So is there anyway to make the HD 400s sound closer to the HD 206? Or just less bright and clearer detail in general.

I've messed around with EQ for about a week but I couldn't really make them sound right(I might just be inexperienced).

I also tried autoeq but it isn't really that good and I've tried eq'ing it to the HD 206 with squiglink but it didn't sound good either.

So if anyone has these headphones and use eq can you please share your settings with me please I would greatly appreciate it.

Also would getting a dac/amp improve the sound or not?

That's it. Any help or info would be very appreciated. Thank you!

Need help with Sennheiser HD 400s.

Hi! So I've bought the hd 400s from the official sennheiser store on shopee(an asian marketplace like amazon) and I've had them for about 4 months now and something that bothers me alot is the sound. I find it to be lacking abit in detail and some sounds at higher volume sound compressed? I don't really know how to describe it feels washed abit. Like when i'm listening to intense music i can't really hear some of the background instruments/soundeffects and stuff. I've played around with eq for around a week now and i can't quite find the right settings. I've also tried autoeq but it's not good enough and there is no oratory1990 preset for my headphones.
So if anyone has these headphones and use eq can you share your eq settings with me please.
Also I had the HD 206 before until they broke and i really loved how they sounded i've tried eq'ing my HD 400s to sound more like the HD 206 with squiglink but it isn't really that good.
So is there a way to make the HD 400s sound abit closer to the HD 206 or to the harman curve?
Also would getting an amp/dac improve the sound and detail and fix the compression issue or not?
I really wanna make them sound better since i was saving quite alot of money for them.
That's about it.
Also apologies i don't know if i should use the question or need help flair and sorry if my english isn't perfect.
Please help me out. Thank you.
I should've also mentioned that I tried googling everything and didn't get any useful answers.
