Terrible Reddit crop job

I told my sweet bf (who has never seen an episode) “alright I’m only gonna make you do this once…but we gotta go to Twin Peaks this weekend I already scheduled a tattoo appointment”. Here’s my reviews on all the spots we went for all the folks who are planning their own trip!
Mt Si. Motel: you can sleep in room 6 where they filmed scenes for Fire Walk With Me! It’s a motel at the end of the day but it’s very quiet and will certainly be a cool anecdote. Find it on airbnb, Leo was a great host! Also one of the cheaper options in town…
Twedes Cafe: indeed, it was busy, but there were two waitresses who must’ve been high schoolers and two waitresses who were already exhausted from the day by 10 am- GIVE THEM SOME DAMN GRACE!!! I have a lot of allergies so I can’t say much about the food, but my gf got some hashbrowns and eggs and said it was standard. You’re probably not coming here for the food though if you’re going here (although the food won’t ruin the experience, yknow?). So much to look at on the walls and countertops. Really fun and I’m glad it’s still there.
Scary Tate Tattoo: I can’t be normal about media I like so of course I got a twin peaks tattoo, and I told myself “okay if I do this, I’m going to do it right and get it THERE” and I did! If you’re looking for a twin peaks tattoo I cannot recommend @scarytate (on insta) enough! They’re so fun to talk to and have such great energy, truly a highlight of the trip. This was tattoo number 20 and 21 for me and I couldn’t be happier.
DirtFish Rally School/Sheriff Station: okay I didn’t know rally schools were a thing and now I want to go. Obviously don’t trespass or create problems for the operation they’re running here, but if you mind your own business and bop down for a picture or two they won’t mind. Really fun to see a twin peaks sheriff car in person :)
Snoqualmie Falls: SO BUSY!!! But I think if you sit in your car and complain about parking the ghost of David lynch grace’s you with an open spot. Very pretty spot with hiking available, but with the new tat we decided to skip it for now. The path to the lower-ish viewpoint is all paved though.
Smokey Joes: was recommended to go here by the tattoo artist. They filmed Sarah Palmers scene in the bar from S3 here! My bf and I were really just here for pool though. Great vibes and Diane is the sweetest bartender I’ve had who continued to pick absolute bangers on TouchTunes.
Random other Recs: Sure Shot bar in North Bend (good vibes, especially on karaoke night), Caadxi Oaxaca in Snoqualmie (good gluten-free Mexican!), Pressed on Main in North Bend (good gluten-free brunch options), Elks Temple Mcminnemans in Tacoma (just fun vibes if you’re going through/by Tacoma anyways!).

Hi I just started season 3 after binging tf out of season 1, 2, and FWWM. Loved all of it. Obviously season 3 is a crazy tonal shift from the original seasons (I think the mossy PNW nostalgia of the first 2 seasons does a lot for me personally) , but I think it’s still super entertaining to watch and I love David Lynch just doing whatever the hell he wants.
I have a few questions/thinking points to get other people’s thoughts on:

1. did anyone here wait the 25 years between season 2 and season 3? I took about a month between finishing season 2 and starting season 3 and I was still like “OOH OOH they’re back!” I can only imagine what that would’ve been like if it had been 25 years!
2. how did Angelo Badalamenti hit gold on that theme song? When it started playing for season 3 episode 1 it felt like coming back to somewhere I knew. How’d he do that??
3. was season 3 still advertised/made to be soap opera esque like season 1 and 2 were. It feels much more akin to criminal minds or NCIS, which is still soapy but in a different way. I believe it’s just because the stakes are suddenly much more abstract, as season 2 sort of became at the end.
4. I miss my sheriff 😔 but I understand him not wanting to leave retirement for this…I think it would’ve helped level some of the insane camp of the current twin peaks sheriff department we see.

Which I think shows just how important speaking up and being out and proud is especially in Mormonism (albeit tangentially in Layla’s case as I don’t believe she’s still attending church). Just really makes you think about the self loathing some members of the church must go through and suffer in silence. Happy pride everyone, this month, and always.
