Need help with building my Steam OS pc!!!
So I was originally trying to get my am5 gigabyte eagle wifi 7 atx motherboard working in my micro atx mirage 4 case and I ran into a lot of issues especually with my rx 9060xt not turning on , then i tried a bunch of other things then i found out the dram red light was on and i managed to fix that issue by putting my ram in the correct slot since I'm only using one stick of ddr5 ram. Then I ran into the issue of my gpu not turning on so i gave up and unplugged the gpu and tried to just use the pc with my ryzen 7 9800x3d cpu instead . Then i kept getting this red cpu light so i tried to reseat my cpu then the pc wouldn't turn on . So i took the motherboard out of the case and found out I needed to unplug the cpu cable from the cpu port on my modular psu and plug it into the vga/cpu port on my modular psu but yeah pc still not turning on i even tried clearing the cmos by using a screw driver to jump it didn't work i also took the cmos battery out for 6 minutes still didn't turn on when i plugged it back in .
So now I'm worried I might have killed my cpu , my ram and my motherboard and psu I hope I'm wrong but not looking good right now.
When i was testing earlier the pc would boot but i would have no video output because the gpu wouldn't turn on even if I tried with the cpu it still wouldn't work because as I found out later after taking out my motherboard and psu from my case the cable was in the wrong slot on the psu.
For context I was reusing some old pc parts and some new pc parts I had gotten recently the gpu i bought used for 263 aud from cex and the cpu and ram i bought for 1035 aud online from jw computers. Oh and the motherboard was bought from Vinnies for 250 aud but it didn't come with everything it had since it was used.
Can help me please do I have e-waste now? Am I fucked??!!
Also i had this othe issue on my steam deck oled where When i was trying to flash the steam os image to my usb it kept failing even when using fedora media writer it still failed , both balena etcher and fedora media writer failed to write the image to my usb even after i had formatted my usb it still wouldn't work.
I really want to install Steam OS on this pc but i might not be able to since it won't turn on anymore after reseating the cpu.Photos of pc build
Update:
After a lot of googling I found out I can use my motherboards q flash option to both update and reset the bios now the psu is working and the qflash button on the motherboard is blinking orange while it updates the bios on my motherboard , the 9060xt is still not working though I'll try reseating the 9060xt again after the qflash update has finished .
I will conduct further testing to see if my motherboard will turn on after its finished updating its bios
Update 2:
My cpu cable is plugged into the motherboard my psu only needs one cpu cable also my motherboard only has one cpu connector so even if i plugged in another cpu cable into my psu i wouldn't be able to plug it into my motherboard . The only cpu connector on my motherboard is already connected , the cpu connector is the one above my cpu the long black cable that is also plugged into the vga/cpu port of my psu.
The motherboard was turning on before when the only using one cpu cable as it only supports one cpu cable plugged in at a time.
It was only after I reseated the cpu that the motherboard stopped turning on . I tried everything clearing cmos both ways , qflash update twice where my psu would work but stop working after the qflash finished updating I tried reseating my gpu and ram as well so far nothing has worked I have an extra cpu cable in my psu cable bag but its useless since my motherboard only supports one cpu cable at a time.
