Why do people glaze mechanic so much and insist on bringing a starting mechanic when any idiot with free time can pump out countless rock mechanisms and higher skill has no bearing on the quality of mechanisms (I think)
(No this isn't something I can find in the FAQ or through searching google) I'm just wondering if I entirely missed something about the profession because although mechanisms, traps, defenses, waterworks, lavaworks, etc. are all super useful, you don't need a specialist to set them up.
And yet I've seen in multiple guides on the wiki, youtube, steam forums, and reddit people always insist on bringing a dwarf with mechanic as a maxed skill.

In Baki the Grappler, our titular protagonist gets stronger after he has sex with his girlfriend. Since intercourse is a powerup in the Baki universe, this actually means any of the most prolific fornicators would fold Yujiro Hanma like a lawn chair.
For context, Bonnie Blue is a pornstar that made the news for sleeping with over 1000 men in a single day. I uh... I only know about that from internet discourse I swear I haven't seen any of her work. I bet someone could gauge how much stronger that made Baki and then scale other people (in)appropriately.

PSA: While titan (2 tile like cob cannon) plants can be attacked from either tile, the mechanut/gigamechanut/apple only absorbs damage if the rear tile of the titan plant is in range and the front tile can be exposed. Included is a more optimal way to stack multiple columns of titan plants.

So is Princess Solarnova any good offensively? Been testing her in custom levels and her solar bombs actually seem to dish out less damage than if I just didn't have her. If she's not worthless (outside of being a better sunflower) what setup actually makes her good?
