Questing for New (or old) Players: A Brief Guide
I have seen some discussions about the questing (or lack of) quetsting in Everquest and want to set the record straight as well as provide some guidance and tips.
First: There are a TON of quests in the game, you just have to find them.
To start with, there are no quest markers or journal to help you keep track. You find quests by going around to different NPCs and 'hailing' them by pressing 'H'. If you do this and an NPC responds with text in [brackets], you may be on to something. Simply click the bracketed text to continue the conversation. It does not always lead to a quest however.
Second: Most quests aren't worth the effort, at least right now. Quest rewards, especially in newbie areas, largely reward a small amount of exp, coin, and faction and occasionally a minor item. Very frequently not worth the hour it takes to gather everything. The actually good rewards you only get a base item level, and have to mote it up to be on par with dropped gear.
Some Noteworthy Newbie Quests: These quests can help you gear up at low levels!
Kobold Molars: Teeth drop from Kobolds in the Warren's dungeon starting at level 3. These are turned in to the Paladin guild in Erudin or the Palace in Paineel. You get faction (helps unlock erudite as a playable race), but also has a 1/5 chance to give you a random piece of chain mail armor.
Crushbone Belts and legionarre pads: dropped by orcs and orc legionairres in Crushbone. Turned into warrior guild in Kaladim. Rewards faction and some leather armor.
Scarab Carapaces: Dropped by scarabs world over. Various quality carapaces can be turned with with some gold to Warrior guild in Kaladim. Ex. A pristine carapace and 23 gold can give you a pretty damn good early breastplate. Need good faction with Dwarf Warriors though.
If anyone else has or discovers some good early quests, please post them.

Bug: AI wont declare war on me or other AIs
Playing against Deity AIs.
Came back to the game this weekend after the most recent updates. Noticed that none of the AI's ever declared war, not with me or each other/
Decided to try and make the perfect conditions for AI to declare war, see pic. I have no military and have been maxxed/nearly maxxed out in negative relationship for the entire age. None of the AIs are at war, nor have been.
No mods.
Anyone know how to fix this?
