Is Ogre frontal stun immunity overrated?

Any time you see someone talking about races, Ogre is said to be by far the best race due to the frontal stun immunity, but I feel like this trait is very overrated.

I played as a Troll in beta and while stuns were annoying, almost every time I was stunned, it was from a spell, which the Ogre immunity doesn't protect against.

reincarnation conundrum

So you hit just hit 50 with your trio. Congratulations! Now do you reincarnate to make the trio stronger or do you swap out one or two to get alternate classes for more choices in different settings? The same 3 that served you so well solo might not be the best you can be in a raid that only needs 1 tank.

rogue backstab from range slot?

I was playing around with a gear builder site and it suggested something I hadnt thought about. My current trio option is rog/pal/enc and it ordered up a 2hs (truvinan) in primary and a runed bone fork in range slot. RBF does have backstab damage but I hadnt thought that rogues could get backstab damage out of the range slot. Is that an error in the site design or would range slot work for melee backstabs? I know the any slot does but I hadnt thought about the range slot.

Upgrade Tokens

You will be able to earn 3 upgrade tokens a week via killing any of the raid bosses at any D level (so max 3 per week). Resets on Tuesdays.

Upgrade token upgrades any spell or item 1 full level ignoring the exp of the item/spell. So leveling items up from 7/8/9 will go longer require tons of dupe items or +4/+5 motes.

Do motes drop more in revamped zones?

researched a bit

-Motes drip more from

-higher con mobs

-Named mobs + Raid mobs

-Higher difficulties

Aside from the aboveX do they drop evenly from all mobs across the world? Or more from the revamped zones?!

Reincarnation sounds so perfect!

Stumbled into a quick video showing the road map just now.

Reincarnation coming this year, and if I understand it, we can restart at level 1 with a trio in exchange for stats/cap raises?

So perfect!

It will be so huge (for me?) as providing not only more reason to play by experiencing things you missed or passed by, but with a purpose.

I'm more excited now than I've been already (if possible).

The only area I hope they explore improving in a different way than EQ is an economy. I like having non-combat things to do. Maybe the road map has that.

Have they mentioned if expansions will still target being able to solo content with the right gear, AAs, and trio? I sure hope so. I love being able to group but not needing to.

Here's to our legends starting Tuesday!

How is mana regen/downtime?

If you went enchanter/druid/wizard what can you expect downtime to be from an empty mana bar?

How annoying is it to pick Innoruuk?

I want to Primary a Shadowknight, but I'm hesitating about having to fight (or more likely get one-shot) randomly forever because guards and pedestrians all go KOS from beyond visual range.

Would it be better to Primary something else, pick a less terrible god, and Secondary or Tertiary into Shadowknight?

Anyone coming from EQOA for PS2?

Howdy,

EQ legends looks exciting, I've been playing EverQuest Online Adventures via a PS2 emulator recently the last several months. It's been a lot of fun, especially since it was built for the PS2 so controller support, meaning I can play it on my couch and TV.

I know EQ Legends will take place at a different time in Norrath, so this has more playable races and classes.

EQOA only has about 400 daily users, I know EQ Legends will be more popular and have more daily players, so has anyone played the EQL beta and can tell me their experiences playing compared EQOA gameplay wise? Also will there be controller support for EverQuest legends?

Does this mean there will be good reason to choose one god over another, and over agnostic?

Paladin / Shaman or Paladin / Enc

Do shaman and paladin buffs stack better or do pal/enc stack better? My 3rd will be berserker if that matters.

Enc/Wiz nuker/charmer - go with Pal or Clr for 3rd? Or Dru?

Paladin seems to be one of the most popular choices, but I'm thinking of taking Cleric instead for plate access and pet healing/support - I just figured focusing on Int in my gear for the highest nuking potential, I wouldn't be able to also optimize for melee damage as well. I want to focus mostly on charming and hasting a pet while nuking away.

I've never really played Paladin though, so maybe I'm off base. I know LoH could cover that emergency full heal for the pet, but I just wonder how good the melee damage will be vs. having a more robust pet with stronger healing support.

Any thoughts? I've also considered druid since they have the AA that gives even more spell crit chance on top of what wizard gets, while also bringing reasonable heals, tracking, and more ports. Maybe their new heal over time spells with enough crowd control and slows from Enchanter would be enough to keep a charmed pet alive and swinging.

Best third for SHA/RNG?

I think I have it down to using those two classes for sure. Solo only. Want to be melee oriented dps beast, so looking at a melee third.

WAR - plate. Tanky. Probably solos best?

BER - zerk stance neat. But it doesn't work well at high levels because it's too squishy?

MNK - higher skills caps. Mend. New 10% haste AA.

PAL - triple divine invocation has advantages. 3x WIS caster. Ex mana class. Pal weapons. Plate. Tanky. Doesn't "double up" on triple attack like the rest. Feels potentially strongest, now that I type out the benefits.

Spell book organization strategies?

Couple of things from beta I noticed -
If you swapped out classes, the spell book got a bit jumbled with spells you could and couldn’t use such that moving them around to different pages or moving the ones you didn’t use much to further back in the spell book became a bit time consuming.

Also, it seemed you would accumulate spells from 2 different classes (enchanter slows and shaman slows, for instance) that were duplicative such that it was hard to keep track of which spells were superior without googling them.

Does anyone have any tips on how they organized their spell books?

Like grouping certain spells on certain pages ?

Moving low level spells not used out of the way?

Not sure if there is a way to outright remove spells you never use…

Would love to hear any tips since I never found a fast or efficient way to do these things.
