Games like the Remnant series

Anyone have suggestions for games that like like the Remnant series? First or third person shooters are fine. Looking mostly for games with build and weapon variety, and some grindiness to it.

I’ve played borderlands in the past and it never really grew on me, but open to any other suggestions.

Base Defense

What survival games do you guys recommend that have a significant base or tower defense element?

7 Days to Die is the obvious one, Abiotic factor has a touch, and Conan has their purge mechanic, what else?

Diastais Recti

When a patient, typically with low back pain, presents with a chronic diastasis recti, how does it affect your approach or does it affect your approach? Are there special considerations or modifications to treatment you make in light of this? Why?

Asking as I notice a considerable difference depending on which of us (our therapists) is treating that particular patient.

Base location

I’m in the process of getting the materials together to build a stone base, open survival. I’ve gotten it about half built. I was going to build it just next to my current wood base that is on the edge of a lake. I’ve heard that waterfalls can become useful later on. So would it be worth the time to move what I have so far and build near a small waterfall not too far away? How meaningful is proximity to a waterfall going to be?

Game Recs?

I’m looking for game recommendations. I want a survival crafting game with decent base building and character development.

My most played game is Conan Exiles at 4-5k hours. I’ve put a decent amount of time into and enjoyed Ark, 7DTD, Grounded, Enshrouded, and Green Hell. I put some time into and didn’t care for Valheim, Palworld, or Subnautica. I recently finished the available content in Windrose, which I really enjoyed. I then moved on to Soulmask, which should be right up my alley but something just isn’t clicking. With Soulmask everything just feels so unpolished and janky, like there’s a lot trying to be done all at once and none of it is particularly well done or engaging.

So any other survival games yall would suggest that may pique my interest? I do have a few in the library untouched-Icarus, and Bellwright come to mind but I don’t know enough about them, they were bought on heavy sale with some FOMO.

Recruiting and Name Bars

I’m finding it hard to distinguish enemies as I’m trying to “recruit.” Their names don’t seem to appear above their heads until your right on top of them, by then swords are swinging and they’re usually dead by the time I figure out whether this was a hunter, warrior, etc.

Is there any way to keep the tags up all the time or are them from a greater distance? I didn’t see any relevant options in the game settings menus. Or does anyone have any advice for figuring out who’s who.

Or am I wasting my time even worrying about different enemies.
