GH Wii Guitar Laggy

Hey y'all, I'm getting back into Guitar Hero after a few years of not playing. I realized that after sitting in my hot car for a few weeks when I moved, my guitar controller for the Wii version, has gotten "sticky" and lags when playing. Even after bringing inside and having sat in actual AC, the lag/"stickiness" has not gone away. The wire is also frayed so maybe that is the reason?

I have looked into the 3rd party controllers off Amazon and used on FB Marketplace but want to know if anyone has had anything similar happen and has solutions before I drop money on a controller replacement. Maybe just replacing the wire or somehow disassembling and cleaning the controller? This or go full tilt and just get one of the controller that can connect to PC for Clone Hero and just skip over the one Wii game I have lol.

Any advice is appreciated!

Buying GSP tickets in advanced?

Hey y'all, I am traveling to Orlando for a wedding in September and am trying to buy plane tickets to fly out of GSP. (Not trying to drive to and from Orlando by myself) I'm looking to depart 9/8 and return 9/13.

When I look up round trip tickets out of GSP, I'm getting these crazy times of like 30+ hours for both departure and return flights. It'll be several stops, going way out of the way and multiple 10+ hour layovers. Even the one way tickets to Orlando in Sept. are 30+ hours.

I have never bought plane tickets myself, usually traveling in a group or with family where someone else books tickets, so I am woefully ignorant on the best time windows to buy tickets. Is it best to wait until I'm closer to the departure date? I am looking at the website now and tickets are relatively cheap for a one-way and return direct flights in July, so I know that these absurd stops and times are avoidable. Any advice would be helpful, thanks!

Audible Alternative?

Hey y'all! I'm reading through the series (currently on The Butcher's Masquerade) and I'm wanting to listen to the audiobooks once I'm done reading. I don't want to use Audible because I don't want to give anymore money to Amazon, and I don't like how you don't get to keep the audiobooks if you decide to cancel the subscription. (I don't use/subscribe to Audible as of now so I don't have access to the audiobooks right now).

I know Soundbooth Theater has a version of the audiobooks but I think they're abridged so some of the descriptive text has been excluded, mainly focusing on dialogue and necessary action descriptors. Also I believe SBT released the books in "seasons" and only has the audios up to Season 3/Book 3 right now. Another option I've seen is buying the audiobooks through Apple Books for varying/increasing, but I think you get to keep the audiobook in your library indefinitely without a subscription. I just wish they audios were not "Audible Exclusives" so I could get them on Libro.fm so my money would go towards indie bookstores.

So would the abridged Soundbooth Theater version be worth it having already read the books and knowing the general gist of what's going on so the cuts of descriptive text won't be as detrimental? Or the Apple Books version, despite the prices increasing every book? Both options I believe you can keep indefinitely. Maybe a different, sneaky option?
