First Year CSE Fresher here

Hi everyone, I just completed my Class 12 and have joined B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at a Tier-2 college, college hasn’t started yet, so I have some free time before the semester begins, my ultimate goal is to become an IPS Officer through the UPSC Civil Services Examination, I’m very serious about this and want to start preparing right from the first year of college so that I don’t waste these 4 years, I know the competition is extremely tough, so I want to do things systematically.

Specific requests:

How should I start right now?

What exactly should I focus on in Year 1

Books, resources, and content

A year-wise roadmap for all 4 years of college

Any tips specific to IPS physical fitness, current affairs for police-related issues, interview preparation, etc

Recommended coaching (online/offline) or self-study strategies for someone in a Tier-2 college

I’m ready to put in consistent hard work, please share your experiences, strategies, and mistakes to avoid, Any guidance from people who cleared UPSC or are currently preparing would be incredibly helpful Thank you so much in advance! Looking forward to your detailed suggestions.
