If anyone is worried about pursuing a hysto/phalloplasty due to internal exams

I was terrified about this back when I was meeting with a surgeon to get my laparoscopic hysto, and I was getting told by lots of people that internal exams were unavoidable.

I asked my surgeon at the consult if she required an exam. She said unless there’s a concerning reason to check something out to be sure there’s no issues, no. I asked her if she required one after the surgery to check internal stitches and stuff. She said she has to recommend one from her perspective as a doctor, but in the same breath told me that she entirely understood if I chose not to get one and would not pressure me in the slightest. She said that if there was a concern and they needed to check things, they would put me under anesthesia to do the exam. (Which is something I outright requested if an exam were to be required)

So anyway, I just wanted people to know that there are great surgeons out there that won’t make you go through extra suffering if it’s not necessary. Obviously if you’re having concerning symptoms or have concerning medical history, it’s different. But that wasn’t my experience.

Same for bottom surgery! I have my Phalloplasty scheduled for June 2nd, and I haven’t had one internal exam. External, yes, so the surgeons could see how much skin they had to work with down there, but I remember being younger and being so so scared that either my hysto or my bottom surgery would require an internal exam. So in case this can offer some anxiety relief to anyone, I wanted to share my experience.

Yeah, it’s always better to get checked out just in case there is something wrong that you aren’t aware of — that goes with every part of your body. But it’s your body, and if you know it’s something you can’t handle, stand up for yourself and surgeons will work with you :)

Songs with violin/cello similar to how it’s used in What It Cost by Bad Omens?

So at the timestamps 1:11 and 1:24 in What It Cost by Bad Omens there is this beautiful instrumental moment of violin or maybe cello I don’t know, but I NEED more songs with this sound in it. I don’t mind fully instrumental songs, but I’m trying to find songs that use that addicting sound. Thanks!

What’s the actual mechanics behind the night vision goggles and how they’re attached to reagents?

I know we see how they’re attached, or at least part of it. The goggles are held up to the reagent’s temples and then screws are put into the skull. I assume the screws (excuse my non-mechanical language, I am out of my element here) have bigger ‘heads’ than the hole in the goggles so that it pins them in place. But is that all there is? Would removing them be as ‘simple’ as unscrewing those?

I’m writing a little bit of a story about my reagent OC and was considering the possibility of him removing his goggles, but I wanted him to be able to somehow modify them in the sense that he could take them on and off. Is there a way to do this? Perhaps the screws penetrating the skull are topped off with a bolt that could be loosened and tightened?

Sorry for my stupidity on the subject.
