After 18 years

For 18 years the “service engine soon” light has been illuminated in this truck. All because of the secondary air injection pump needing replacement. Everyone tells me $229 dollars for an unnecessary replacement isn’t worth it. Deleting the code doesn’t work. Unplugging the pump didn’t do it. I don’t know what else to do and I am not an electrician.

So today I decided to show this girl who’s been in the family since grandpa bought her brand new in 2001 some respect. I replaced the fucking pump.

Light went off and it was worth the money.

She only has 148k on her and has been my ride or die since 2007.

Nice to know check engine light will actually warn me to a real problem now. Now to figure out why my ABS and Park Brake lights won’t shut off.

Data Center in Bonner ftw

Plans have been submitted for the data center in Bonner. As per KPAX “The Missoula County Consolidated Land Use and Planning Board will decide if this project goes through or not. They will meet on July 1 at 6 p.m.”

I hope those of us that oppose this project are not a minority, and I hope it has gotten all of our attention. I don’t think ceding natural resources that are a cornerstone of our community and guaranteed us by our state constitution is a savory decision.

This data center will consume vast amounts of energy, tapping into our energy grid. It will require tens of thousands of gallons of water per month from the Blackfoot Corridor to cool the units mixed with propylene glycol. As Missoula gets hotter, water dwindles, fish populations struggle. Our economy depends on our natural environment.

There will be no jobs added, no benefit to our community. And all so they can process data - information on me and you for money and power.

This project sucks and is dangerous to our community. I really hope this project doesn’t go through. Montana is not the place where we should be using our beautiful outdoors for the machines and the millionaires.

This shit is stupid!

What is happening?!

I just put straight kibble in Roy’s bowl, and he’s eating it. He’s almost 5, 115 lbs., had him since he was three months old. He won’t even consider a bowl with straight kibble. His kibble beans are always dressed up with some razzle-dazzle. It’s a pain in the ass because he is incredibly picky, like won’t eat the same meal two days in a row, leftovers have to be served hot (I don’t own a microwave), almost never finishes a meal, etc. (This also means I have to shove his glucosamine down his throat).

Anyway, I’m tired, been doing yard work for weeks, just put 100% kibble in his bowl and he’s eating it. Wow.

My Dewalt thickness planer’s 13” knives are getting a bit dull, already rotated ‘em. Knives are like $60+ these days. Is it wise to sharpen carefully flipped over, by just passing 120 grit on a block gently over? I do not have the equipment to sharpen them. I have whet stones but they are small, like 6” long.

Thoughts? Tips? Current project is planing 2x8 fir for garden boxes, not trying to turn any heads with em.
