Launch Control XL + NHS music Trolley project
Hi there,
I’m currently in musician in residence for the NHS Newcastle Hospitals Charity. I’m designing a Music trolley to be used on the wards. The trolley will feature an iPad, a synth, a record player and various other instruments. I have acquired a launch control XL and a focusrite Scarlett. I want the Scarlett to be the main hub, and the launch control to act as the main controls.
My current predicament is how to monitor audio through the Scarlett (since focusrite control is obsolete). I am thinking AUM might be good, as it’s midi mappable, so some of the faders on the launch control could be permanently mapped to the record player volume, with mute and solo buttons too?
I am disappointed to learn that the transport controls aren’t mappable, so I can’t assign them to Ableton Note, for example. Is there a workaround for this?
