need ideas (recipes): for a 4 quart air fryer.

I have never used an air fryer before, but the clear view cuisinart intrigued me. And it has arrived. What are your favorite recipes - or simply items to cook there. Otherwise I mainly use the stove top (gas) or microwave. I tend to like both simple things (American or French, easy to cook) or ethnic food from all over. Thoughts?

Your favorite mustard(s) for what and why? And have you ever made your own?

I have occasionally made versions of catchup (tomato, vinegar, sugar, worcestershire sauce sauce etc) but have never tried making mustard. Usually I go with grey poupon. What are your thoughts?

Peanut Butter - and...?

What is your favorite "match" and your favorite brand? My favorite brand is Teddy smooth unsalted (all natural). I turned to this after a disastrous meal I made with chicken, tomatoes, garlic, onions & peanut butter (that was too sweet). I have also sometimes ground my own but Teddy's does the trick. I toss it into some Thai dishes, or a quick travel snack (PB smear on rice cakes). My friend like PB on bagels with a smear of maple syrup or chocolate syrup. We both love the PB fudge made with marshmellow fluff which is great served as is or cut up and stored in the freezer.

Harvard Joint Center for Housing Report 6.2026 - thoughts?

A new housing report released from Cambridge by Harvard's Joint Center for Housing Studies warns that affordability pressures and economic uncertainty are worsening for renters and homeowners nationwide. The study highlights slowing household formation, shrinking low-rent stock, rising property taxes and insurance, and record-high renter cost burdens, underscoring challenges that echo in Cambridge's own tight, expensive housing market.

Your favorite grilled cheese sandwich?

Mine is sharp white cheddar and preferably on sour dough bread, fried with a light smoother of unsalted butter on both sides to perfect crispness. What is yours?

My favorite salmon recipe - what is yours?

Grilled salmon steak (and other size salmon pieces) with raspberry sauce. Keep the fish skin on. Heat a frying pan (iron or non-stick) with a small amount of olive oil. Sprinkle crushed black pepper on the skin-side surface of the fish. Cook until the salmon on this side until it begins to sweat on the top (juice is slightly emerging on the surface). Sprinkle this side with crushed sea salt and more crushed black pepper. Flip and cook for only a minute or two. Pour on a few tablespoons of bottled raspberry chipotle sauce. Remove salmon from pan and place skin side down on a serving plate. Pour on 2-3 T more raspberry sauce plus a hand full of fresh ras[berries. I like to serve this with simmered unpeeled small round potatoes, strained, than covered with fresh butter, ground sea salt and fresh parsley. Plus: steamed green beans. Plus an arugala salad (or pick your favorites legumes. Enjoy. This dish is also great heated up and served the next day (if there is any left)

Triple Decker Fire on Tuesday June 3

A Fire broke out at the triple decker on 803 Cambridge Street in Inman Square in the afternoon of June 3. Fortunately everyone got out safely. Fortunately also we have a great fire department because fires can spread very quickly in denser neighborhoods. One sometimes reads that it is illegal to build three story units before. But I think the issue was with the construction model of the triple decker itself not three stories per se due to difficulties of evacuations. Does anyone know for sure? https://patch.com/massachusetts/cambridge/fire-breaks-out-3-story-cambridge-building?utm_medium=referral&utm_term=crime+%26+safety&utm_campaign=nextdoor_news&utm_source=nextdoor.com
