It felt so real, a full episode with terrible stilted jokes interrupting every thought, that I immediately came to this sub upon waking up to make sure.
Why, mechanical pencil designers, why must so much graphite be wasted?
I've really enjoyed books where the eldritch unexplainable thing is a complex fungus of some sort. These are all marked as spoilers as it's a twist often that the explanation is a fungal parasite/mutualist, and I understand many people don't want it revealed for them. But I don't mind a spoiler, so give me examples of other fungal horrors, bonus if the eldritch horror wins at the end.

On a bizarre conversation in which someone insists that tights are pants, but they themselves have never worn tights.
Edited: mea culpa! I should have screen shot more of the conversation. It started because 'tomboy' asked why someone would wear pants under a skirt. She was corrected that tights are not pants, and then she would not back down but also let us know she has never seen or touched tights, pantyhose, nylons, etc.
