Where do the hotel employees hang out at?

For context, I am looking at buying some gift cards to local places the employees at the Four Seasons Whistler hang out at. I don't think/know if they all hang out at the same places or if it's relative to a specific hotel, but I am staying at the FH and I want to give the employees that make my stay nice, some gift cards to local village-bound establishments they'd actually visit.

Thank you!

Hotel Employee Gifts

Hello! I am bringing gifts for hotel employees at a five star resort I am staying at in September for my birthday. I am looking for opinions. Yes I know cash is king, but I am looking at beyond that. I want the gifts to be meaningful; I am wrapping them up too.

So I have two questions:

  1. If a guest brought, say, 20 identical gifts to distribute to employees - what would your hotel's policy be for the employee to receive it? (I am bringing more but this is a ballpark of what is realistic for others who may also find this post useful.)

  2. What would you recommend for the gift to include?

I am looking at self-care items, my favourite energy drink, and maybe a bar from my favourite small chocolatier local to where I live.

HI FIVE CHICKEN NORDEL WAY (Surrey) $6~PSA: NO MORE TGTG

I say this with a heavy heart because I love buying from there on TGTG. But after doing so for a 1am-4am pickup last night, I was told very kindly that "the owners stopped and will not allow me to give out food". There were still tons of bags listed and she said "the owners are not doing TGTG anymore, I am not allowed to fulfill them, you have to cancel it". I explained how cancelling affects my account and that stores are supposed to do it, but she kindly stated that the owner does not allow them to have access to the TGTG interface to cancel orders.

They also said they have had several people come in and get denied... but are encouraged to buy their new $11.99 meal combo deal.

Please note the store employee is only doing her job and she is very kind and compassionate. It is the owner who is putting her and TGTG customers in a terrible position and who won't cancel listings. Please do not exume hatred towards employees.

I do know the owner's name is Anniee and she does work there during the day. She is nice enough but always hounds customers to leave a good review.

Polly Fox - Abbotsford - $10 Large Box

Polly Fox is a gluten free bakery and their food is DIVINE - better than most regular bakeries and priced way better too.

The owner packed my box full of fresh items directly off of the shelf. He was so kind and generous and let me pick things out! There's about 4 other treats underneath this top layer you see here.

I paid $10, got well over $30 worth.
The best items in the box for me were the carrot cake and chocolate chip oatmeal muffin. Second best were their famous cinnamon rolls (keep in mind I am not a fan of cinnamon rolls and these were delectable) and their eclairs.

I highly recommend! I've gotten their small box before of day-olds and received 4 for $6. This large box was picked up on a Sunday when it wasn't busy so I got a bunch of fresh items, so choose your timing wisely!

Blend Bubble Tea - PoCo - $5.99

3 delicious full sized bubble teas at Blend in PoCo! Been getting this one regularly, always the three different ones. The milk one is Jasmine green and it's so authentic and potent. Mango is the orange with strawberry boba and the purple is butterfly pea lemonade. Their pearls are delicious - vanilla bean - no icky aftertaste or difficulty eating after awhile.

I was not a bubble tea fan until I tried Blend!
Their specials too are like $4 for a drink you choose and it's soo good. My favourite is the kumquat.
