AOR April 2025 but fired (termination without cause) today

OINP Employer Job Offer AOR April 2025 but fired (termination without cause) this week

Desperately looking for any similar case or advice before I move forward to the next step - reporting to OINP re: my employment status update, esp when my PR is almost on the finish line. Below is my current status of my PR;

  •  AOR: April 2025
  •  Medical: Passed
  •  Criminality: Passed
  •  Eligibility: Not started (per MP inquiry)
  •  Security: Not started
  •  No documents requested

MP’s office was told to expect a decision by late July. But I just got the phone call from my HR - termination without cause, nothing related to work performance.

I had a call with an immigration lawyer this afternoon but she said, over her 20 year experience, she has never had this situation. Should I find another lawyer or should I just honestly report to OINP my situation? My employer suggested if helpful they can update my termination to temp lay-off but I am unsure if that would be useful to save my OINP nomination. Any advice would be much much appreciated.
