Chances of Oinp Invitation

My score is 87 in ISS for Noc 12013. The last cutoff was 83. I am very worried if this noc draws will come. Is there anyone working in this noc or waiting for an ITA?

OINP Workforce Priority Stream: Does It Help If Your Employer (TCS) Won't Use the Employer Portal?"

For employers like TCS and other consulting firms that do not support/participate in the OINP Employer Portal but are only able to provide an HR confirmation letter — would the new Ontario Workforce Priority Stream changes make any difference to this situation, or does the HR-letter-only limitation remain a blocker regardless of the redesign?

AOR April 2025 but fired (termination without cause) today

OINP Employer Job Offer AOR April 2025 but fired (termination without cause) this week

Desperately looking for any similar case or advice before I move forward to the next step - reporting to OINP re: my employment status update, esp when my PR is almost on the finish line. Below is my current status of my PR;

  •  AOR: April 2025
  •  Medical: Passed
  •  Criminality: Passed
  •  Eligibility: Not started (per MP inquiry)
  •  Security: Not started
  •  No documents requested

MP’s office was told to expect a decision by late July. But I just got the phone call from my HR - termination without cause, nothing related to work performance.

I had a call with an immigration lawyer this afternoon but she said, over her 20 year experience, she has never had this situation. Should I find another lawyer or should I just honestly report to OINP my situation? My employer suggested if helpful they can update my termination to temp lay-off but I am unsure if that would be useful to save my OINP nomination. Any advice would be much much appreciated.

Regarding median Wage as per new ONIP workforce program

Hi all

I need a genuine advice on median wage for TEER 0-3 occupations. I am short on $0.25 in the base pay against the median wage of $29. Although my overall per hour rate is above the median wage when the night premium gets included to it. I am though working straight nights so all my paychecks say that overall pay is above the median wage of $29.

My employer is ready to provide me Job offer letter and is already providing it to anyone employed with them.

Is it ok to go ahead? I am meeting all the requirements of minimum 6 months of work experience under one NOC code, except for the median wage scene.

I am not a new graduate, nor I am on the skilled trade, nor I have a continuous work experience of 2 yrs straight with one employer on one NOC code.

Need help on Job offer eligibility

In my job offer my employer has mentioned I am a full-time employee, but also said weekly hours depend on customer needs. So, my hours are sometimes not 30 every week.

Few weeks have less hours than 30. But my average weekly hours is 36 since I started employment.

Is that okay for OINP stream? They have listed minimum 30 hours weekly for a full time position.

Could OINP reject my profile on this? If anyone has any similar situation please share.

OINP Timeline & Chances Assessment

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for some guidance regarding expected timelines and my chances for Ontario's OINP pathways. I would really appreciate any insight or advice on my profile.

OINP Overhaul Doesn't Mean Anything

My honest take on the overhaul is that it is just a gimmick with some buzz words like "skill", "talent", "demand" thrown in. It doesn't mean anything except that the officers are trying to justify their jobs by doing some random reform. At the end, they will be inviting by NOC codes and it is going to function the exact same way as it was before barring minor adjustments for candidates who studied in Canada.

To an extent that lawyers at my company literally sent an email saying TLDR, eligibility and process is the same.

Shame on them for doing this stunt!!

OINP Stream Redesign Phase 1 - Update

Phase 1 redesign update details are now live on the website
2026 Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program Updates | ontario.ca

The Real Changes

1. All 8 Existing Streams Are Now Officially Removed

As of June 26, 2026, Ontario has shut down the following streams:

  • Foreign Worker
  • International Student
  • In‑Demand Skills
  • Master’s Graduate
  • PhD Graduate
  • Human Capital Priorities
  • French‑Speaking Skilled Worker
  • Skilled Trades

No more invitations will ever be issued under these.

2. New Single Stream Introduced: Ontario Workforce Priority Stream

This is the new core program replacing everything else.

It has three pathways:

A. TEER 0–3 Pathway

For skilled workers with a permanent, full‑time job offer.

Minimum requirements:

  • Work experience (choose one):
    • 6 months consecutive with the same employer in the job‑offer role (12‑month window) (Median Wage)
    • 3 months consecutive for recent Ontario graduates (Low Wage)
    • 2 years cumulative in the last 5 years in the NOC (Median Wage)
    • Licensed occupations are exempt (From work experience requirements)
  • Language: CLB 6 (CLB 5 for some occupations)
  • Education: Post‑secondary diploma/degree

B. Self‑Employed Physicians Pathway

No job offer required.

Must:

  • Be in good standing with CPSO
  • Hold independent/academic/provisional registration
  • Be eligible to bill OHIP

C. TEER 4–5 Pathway

For intermediate‑skilled workers with a permanent, full‑time job offer.

Minimum requirements:

  • 9 months cumulative experience with the same employer (last 2 years)
  • Language: CLB 4
  • Education: High school diploma
  • Wage: Must meet median wage

3. Rural Employers Get Easier Requirements

Employers in census divisions under 150,000 population get lower revenue thresholds, making it easier to support job offers.

4. EOI System Closed & All Old EOIs Withdrawn

  • The old EOI system is now shut down.
  • All EOIs and job offers under old streams will be automatically withdrawn.
  • No more invitations under old streams.
  • When the new EOI system opens later this summer, candidates must register a new EOI under the new stream.

Employers:

  • Do not need to re‑register their employer account
  • But must submit a new job offer once the portal reopens

5. Applications Already Submitted Are Safe

If you already submitted an application under an old stream, it will be assessed under the old rules.

6. Program Integrity Tightened

  • Response time for AMPs/Ban Orders reduced from 60 → 30 days
  • Notices can now be delivered by email/mail/in‑person and are considered delivered without proof
  • Faster compliance actions against bad actors

7. This Is Only Phase 1

Phase 2 of the redesign is still coming later.

updated OINP stream

Hey everyone, Hope you're all having a good day. I am facing a massive dilemma right now and could really use some honest advice from anyone tracking the recent immigration changes.

I'm currently working full-time in Ontario as a Security Supervisor (TEER 2). I have 3 years of straight experience, a 2-year college diploma, and great English scores (7,7,7,8). On paper, I perfectly fit Ontario's new TEER 0–3 pathway when it opens later this summer.

But here is my issue: I just got a full-time job offer for a construction role out in an Atlantic province. Now I am completely torn and confused about what to do.

What would you do? Should I wait it out in Ontario and see how the new system plays out this summer, or pack up and head East for the construction job?

If anyone has made the jump from Ontario to the Atlantic provinces, I’d love to hear how it went for you. Thanks so much for any insight.

Is a fully remote job eligible under OINP if the employer has a physical office in Toronto?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to understand how OINP treats fully remote employment.

My situation is:

  • I work full-time for an Ontario employer.
  • The company has a legitimate physical office and business address in Toronto.
  • My employment is permanent and based in Ontario.
  • However, I work 100% remotely from my home in Ontario and don't go to the office.

Has anyone been approved under OINP with a similar setup?
